I yearn for this Selkie, hoping she can get back to where she belongs. This lyrical piece speaks to women of all ages. Where are our coats? Can we pull the plug? Fascinating.

This monologue is so current and important. The Drawing Board, NYC produced it and it was depressing, informative and right on. It built beautifully.
  • I GOT A DATE TONIGHT ("Beauty Parlor")
    26 Apr. 2021
Watched this marvelous funny, yet sad monologue via The Drawing Board in NYC. Endearing Angie finds out her date isn't actually happening for her the way she wants it to...funny lines and references. Great woman's monologue.

Oh, this play makes my heart ache and expand with joy at the same time. I love Sister Agatha. She's just what William needs, and he knows it. This is a beautiful play about love and grief and understanding.

This short play is a great two-hander for two women. The beginning is kind of creepy and scary, but there are more twists than many a pretzel. You can listen to a podcast version on Gather by the Ghost Light on all podcast platforms. Better yet, produce it.

Any older woman's dream. A woman's children gift her with an imperfect but attractive male robot. Oh the things they can get up to with 365 different positions. A fun exploration of what might be in the future.
  • MRS. ALLYSON

Trading favors...Gabrielle needs one desperately, but her employer thinks she is blackmailing her. Then the real truth comes out. Interesting two hander with a good part for a latina actor.
  • Above and Beyond

This is a terrific short play that's perfect for Zoom. Husband and wife are separated through work, and one of them has some not so good news. This piece zips along giving us a ton of information, but the heart of the play is the couple's understanding of their responsibilities and their love for each other.
  • Second Act Second Helpings
    7 Apr. 2021
The things one will do after being locked up in 2020. An older married couple plan some adventures as they move forward in the second half of their lives. One is more sure than the other, until their conversation changes one of their minds. Jules is in trouble now! A sharp and funny short play about growing older.

Half way through this short play, I realized i was tearing up. Not because it is sad, but because it is real and true to life from the perspective of a parent and a teen. Both are trying to connect (or not) from two disparate points of view. It also has a lovely and simple ending. Beautiful.
