  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: Picnic on Squire Cheyney Farm Park

Half way through this short play, I realized i was tearing up. Not because it is sad, but because it is real and true to life from the perspective of a parent and a teen. Both are trying to connect (or not) from two disparate points of view. It also has a lovely and simple ending. Beautiful.

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: BALL AND CHAIN a monologue

Oh how this monologue resonates with me. I remember that wave of "get pinned", "get married" and "have babies" left over from the 50's. Remember who you want to be, and take a kiss when you can get it. And claim it. Wow, powerful words and a great monologue for a seasoned performer.

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: Heavenly Hands

There's magic and mystery on the island and the doctor, Mirta, returning from the mainland doesn't believe. There are evil witches, an owl and family issues to be resolved. Finally the magic in Mirta's hands brings an end to the evil on the island...at least for now.

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: Circumnavigation (monologue)

The goldfish in this monologue seems so content, but I thinks she's making the best of things. Get her a bigger tank and some friends!

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: The Dobler Effect

Oh, I like Didi! Once she opens up a bit, we see why Lionel has a change of focus. She's a nice woman and patiently waiting for Lionel to open his eyes and maybe his heart.

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: Right For The Part

What fun for actors to play these two parts. An actor's nightmare with a happy ending...we think. Bravo.

  • Marj O'Neill-Butler: Beatrix Potter Must Die!

Beatrix Potter was a clever writer and this short comedy lets us in on her other abilities. Funny and sweetly Victorian.
