“Better Than Normal” is such a fabulous play from Hannah Lee DeFrates! The characterization, the dialogue, the ending is everything I could’ve hoped for! The progression throughout paid off in the final pages and I absolutely adore these characters!

I really loved how masterfully this play handles trauma and depression during the holidays while still having a comedic undertone throughout. A great short read for the holiday season!

What Joe Swenson does so well with this series is you never know how the next story will go. This is a masterclass in storytelling, world-building, and character development that any aspiring theatre creative should take in.
