  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Collateral Contributions

God I can’t tell if that was a really nice ending or a horrifying ending. I don’t know who to feel bad for, who to root for. Joe Swenson adds a complex character to the “A Fragile Mind” series that answers some questions and raises new ones. Bravo!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Brian

The acceleration that each of these plays goes through is truly awe inspiring. Joe Swenson truly has a vision and is making it come to life in expert fashion. There is so much to wonder about with this piece. So much mystery. So much that messes with your mind. I can’t wait for the next installment.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Paranoid Triggers

This one really messed with me. This series continues to build upon its self and has created this messed up world where nothing is as it seems. The twist in the final pages really shocked me and makes me rethink the past pieces in this series as a whole. Brilliant work!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Pretending to Exist

Every time I think I understand where this story is going, Joe Swenson throws me for a complete loop. This piece continues to add to the thrilling story of Tammy, and adds more twists to mend your mind as you try to figure out what is really happening. This Brian character is fascinating and I can’t wait to see more of him!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Workplace Stressors

God I think this scenario is one of the scariest things to me. To be in Tammy’s shoes, I don’t know how I could even handle anything like this. Joe Swenson confines to deliver with this third piece in the series and I look forward to reading the next in the series!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Recurring Nightmares

Two major things about this second piece in the “A Fragile Mind” series. One, this series is already set up to be a masterclass in psychological thriller on stage. It’s creepy, it’s effective, and I truly don’t know how to feel after finishing it. Two, the connection between this piece and the first piece in the series. The thing I noticed most was the focus on closing her eyes, or the man’s eyes never opening. I think that really added a chill factor to this piece.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Fragile Mind - Press The Red Button

Whenever I open a Joe Swenson play I know I’m in for a treat, this play, of course, is no exception to that rule. This is a brilliant play that examines grief and guilt, and how those emotions affect us and keep us in a state of alertness and panic. The twist at the end is unexpected and truly wraps the play up nicely with a big, red bow on top. A great start to the “A Fragile Mind” series. Great work!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: A Lot A Lot (one-minute play)

Matthew Weaver shows us a great example of how sometimes a little can be a lot, I mean a lot a lot.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Confessions of the Big Bad Wolf (10 Minute play)

Now this is a treat! An absolute joy to read! Marcia Eppich-Harris brings new life to the big bad wolf and absolutely nails this story on the head! Wonderful read!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Midnight Cafe

There is something eerily beautiful about this piece. Christopher Soucy has created such a wonderful little world with this play and I absolutely love this take on the afterlife and what follows. This play has so many different twists and turns that I never really knew what came next, and each time something was hinted at or revealed I was shocked. Every. Time. This is a must read for playwrights who have a fondness for horror, but also everyone should take 10 minutes to read this play.
