  • Asher Wyndham: Jason's Dog

A flawed character full of remorse and darkness that elicits empathy.
A monologue that speaks to the emotional transformation for an owner of a pet like a dog.
    Another compelling work on masculinity.
Hageman gives male-identifying actors something unexpected, neccessary, illuminating, transformative.
Read and recommend this monologue for your student actor looking for monologues for competition.

  • Asher Wyndham: Smelly Shelly

A much needed play addressing how trauma resulting from school bullying still affects adults and how they relate.
An intense two-hander that would be a great scene for beginning actors in college or any festival.

  • Asher Wyndham: The Rapping

    Taps into our collective fears.
    Sick fun.
Easy to produce. Consider this creepy play for your November showcase.

  • Asher Wyndham: Olizzia

Friendship and sexuality are explored honestly in this unexpected romantic comedy. It's a vacation gone wrong for all the right reasons.
Audience members should be charmed by these besties turned lovers. It's sexy, but Bavoso is interested in more than sexy.
    Easy-to-produce! Check it out!

  • Asher Wyndham: Realistic

Sexbots are the future, there's no denying it.
We learn enough about the master through this monologue from the perspective of the sexbot, and that raises questions about toxic masculinity and views of women and sexuality now and makes us wonder about all that in a future state.
Creepy from start to finish. A great addition to our sci-fi theatre.

  • Asher Wyndham: Winner

This winning play eviscerates white privilege that still prevails in the theatre world. If you're a white playwright and hold any of Harvard's views, you're on the wrong side of theatre practice in America. This is the kind of play about theatre that forces us to have a conversation, even if it's uncomfortable. Well done!

  • Don't dismiss this as some slight comedy on privelged Gen-Z gurrls. It's soo much more - I LOVE AVOCADO TOAST! is satire that perfectly captures vapid girl power in the age of Instagram. It's theatre in a Barbie House with Real World-performativity showcasing cultish group-think that makes you think harrrrd about legit stuff like - What kind of female friendship is best? Is there a toxic strain of feminity? What is this play saying about girls and consumerism, materialism, and the Internet?
Or maybe I'm being too heady? Whatever your interpretation, there's no denying it's so much fun!

  • Asher Wyndham: A Refugee Lives to Survive

A heartbreaking monologue on an African refugee about surviving on charity that forces us to think is that enough. How do we address injustice and systemic violence to improve the lives of the most unfortunate?
This should be included in any festival on refugees and undocumented immigrants.

  • Asher Wyndham: The Extraordinary EB-1 (The Title Run of Edgar Bolaños)

What makes someone extraordinary? What about their dreams, pursuits, and work makes them extraordinary? With a balance of violence and tenderness, toughness and heart, Gonzalez's boxing play makes us ask those questions. It also takes this genre to new imaginative heights, moving us to empathize with all Latinx dreamers NOW and ponder about this thing about called the American Dream.
If you're a fan of THE GREAT WHITE HOPE and THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY, you should check out Gonzalez's play. Better, collaborate with him on developing this work and getting it produced!

  • Asher Wyndham: CrossTalk

This goofy play really makes you think about our dependency on technology, especially smartphones.
How is the gadget in your hand, the device that's sucking up most of your time, an extension of you? What does your relationship with technology say about you, your weaknesses, insecurities, flaws ?
This play should be a hit at any comedy festival across the country. It's ridiculous, but a little frightening because you see yourself in this play.
