A great jab at the way Hollywood loves to profit off the tragedy of others while rewarding those for looking pretty while doing the bare minimum.

From the first page, it's clear that this is a normal daddy/daughter date as grief hangs heavy in the air. Vaughan has written an emotional piece about a tragedy and how it connects us. I'm sure this play will touch the hearts of many people as gun violence is something that haunts every aspect of American life. But, as Vaughan says, it won't change until we stop being shitty to one another. Hear's hoping the conversation will continue long after the curtain closes.

I love a play that can truly capture Michigan's unique charisma. Anyone who has visited Mackinac or has had to get to the UP knows what a daunting task it is--making it the perfect setup for a rom-com. This is such a charming two-hander with a very sweet, romantic ending.

One character is in the midst of de-constructing while the other has chosen to accept God's plan--no matter what it is. A dark moment of reflection on the role religion plays in our lives with a shocking ending that'll leave the audience speechless even after the lights come on.

What a powerful piece. I'm a sucker for a story told in vignettes, and Donley was able to craft a beautiful evening of theatre through small glimpses of each character's life. Shadow is an amazing role any actor would be lucky to play.
