  • I love the way Kantor weaves the fairy tales we all know into a heartwrenching story of recovery. The friendship between these two characters develops so naturally throughout the pages, and their path to recovery isn't always about moving forward—but those setbacks are what make them stronger and push them toward healing.

  • I listened to the Gather by the Ghostlight audio production of this play on my commute to work yesterday, and couldn't stop laughing. Highly recommend!

  • This was super cute and a great play with a wonderful message for children's theatre!

  • Tennant once again hits it out of the park with another historical, one-act. The family feels real and lived-in while the tension continues to build as each birthday is read off on the television until we reach our heartbreaking conclusion.

  • This play is stunning. So many great twists that I didn’t see coming—and when they did it made previous moments and conversations make so much more sense. However, I think the biggest twist is how heartwarming and sweet the ending of this piece is. Overall incredible.

  • Samantha Oty: A Few Fun Facts About Greenland

I loved reading this play, I love the characters, I love the setting, and I love when plays talk about science. This is the kind of show that would make me leave the theatre ready to sit down and work on my own plays because it was so well-written.

  • Samantha Oty: I'm So Fucking Tired (But I guess I have to keep writing about this)

Somehow, it's been just over a year since that horrific date and everything we were worried about is coming to fruition. I love Lynett's use of time and rewinding for the character to try and fix things and make it better, yet they still coming to the same hopeless conclusion where nothing can really be done. It's easy to say let's do xyz, so we're ready; however, it's a privileged stance to take as Bec so eloquently explained in the story. I think a lot of us are so fucking tired.

  • Samantha Oty: The Order of Fifinella

The cover page is beautiful--Alaina does such a great job with these. I love how distinct these characters are and how close they seem at the start of the play. There's no heavy exposition to clue us into their friendship. They just are. I'd never heard about the Fifinella before reading this play. That's one of the many things I love about an Alaina Tennant piece. She finds these lesser-known stories and writes such beautiful characters to bring them back to life.

  • Samantha Oty: On On Religion

An honest conversation about religion and all the uncertainties in life. The audience will likely relate to the questioning young person as it's an experience many of us have gone through at some point in our journeys.

  • Samantha Oty: Box Your Burden

Oh damn, this is such a well-paced, short thriller with such a shocking, powerful ending.
