  • Kate Danley: Blue to Blue

Achingly beautiful with sparse, poetic, evocative dialogue. There is something gut wrenchingly visceral about this play. Really stunning!

  • Kate Danley: The Secret and Impossible League of the NoöSphere in the Baltimore Plot (SILON)

Take Nikola Tesla, Lady Ada Lovelace, Lord Byron, and a cast of amazing characters (did I mention Abraham Lincoln?). Now put them in a steampunk, time-bending, sci-fi adventure and you get this fabulous play! It is dripping with atmosphere and 19th century vibes. It got the cogs in my brain whirring!

  • Kate Danley: Poetry, Prose, and... Pirates!

What happens when your research about pirates is pirated by a bunch of intellectual pirates in modern day piracy? This script! Hilarious and heartbreaking. It brings pirates out of the swashbuckling days of yore and lands the pillaging in the creative lives of today. If you've ever had it done to you, you'll finally feel seen. Keep ye hands off them thar uncredited research, ye word lubbers!

  • Kate Danley: CURS'D BE MACBETH

Such a fun play! It answers the questions "Why is Shakespeare's Scottish play cursed?" but perhaps not the reason you've heard. This would be great for a green show or an evening of Shakespeare inspired shorts.

  • Kate Danley: Cebollas

Warm and touching and insightful... while also being HILARIOUS. These women are so well written and distinctive. Leonard Madrid is a master of dialog and you can hear the musicality and rhythms of each of their voices as they come alive off the page. The comedy gallops along and doesn't let up until it brings you oh-so-satisfyingly to the end. Highly recommend!

  • Kate Danley: 1900s Women Bonding

Razor-sharp comedy! It takes the tropes of the far too many ways women have been portrayed in history and skewers them to delightful effect. It feels like a pressure valve releasing steam!

  • Kate Danley: Santa's Dolphins

A hilarious play! The dialog clip-clops along and the plot rides that rising action wave until it brings us oh so satisfactorily to the shore. A totally fun holiday short that could be presented by performers of all ages, but I really see it being a the perfect gift for high school and college actors. It is a completely unique animal and would make the perfect addition to a night of holiday shorts.

  • Kate Danley: American Fast

An absolutely compelling play! I couldn't stop turning the pages. A fantastic, multifaceted examination of the pressures women are under as students, athletes, daughters, leaders, and then a layer of religious demands on top of that. This play deserves a spot up there with King James in the theatre oeuvre. This play is a perfect three points from midcourt!

  • Kate Danley: Cosmo St. Charles is Dead and Someone In This Room Killed Him

A total delight! Like if "Clue" and "Sheer Madness" got together and had an hysterical baby! An absolutely wonderful vehicle to showcase the funniest improvisers in your community, while also giving you a delightfully solid mystery filled with clues, characters, and atmosphere. This would be a total crowd pleaser!

  • Kate Danley: The Bunker

A stunningly powerful play. Rich, atmospheric, and filled with haunting imagery. It gave me flavors of Brecht in the best way. While it is about WWII, it is also about our humanity and those who who suffer and survive under crippling regimes.
