  • Kate Danley: The Girl Who Could Talk to Birds

Absolutely hilarious short that takes the fairytale trope of helpful animals and romance and turns it on its head. If you're programming a warped Valentine's Day festival, you need this piece in your lineup. Find two of the funniest people you know and put this script up onstage ASAP!

  • Kate Danley: Tony the Fantastic Fireman! LIVE: One Show Only

A children's show goes fantastically, disastrously wrong! The drama going on backstage is definitely not child's play. Along with the brilliant use of immersing the audience in the action, the juxtaposition of a kid friendly world against the adult problems going on in it is such wonderful tension!

  • Kate Danley: George and Sally on the Moon (short)

This is such an allegory for the past few years! A guy says the moon was made of cheese so, of course, it MUST be. Despite everything that says otherwise. But it takes it a step further and explores how our desire to belong causes us to accommodate, even if it does us harm. One of the great things about comedy is it gives an audience an opportunity to explore complicated topics through the safety of laughter. This is a fantastic satire and social commentary, and will leave you thinking long after the final words.

  • Kate Danley: Coff(ee)in

They say opposites attract, but when a vampire and a slayer sit down for a blind date, hilarity ensues! This would make a great little piece for a Valentine's Day festival of shorts.

  • Kate Danley: BUNIONS AND REGRET

What a bittersweet yet heartwarming piece about deferred dreams and the hope that the next generation will do what we did not. Doris, especially, is written so rich and multifaceted. It the kind of role an older actress dreams of sinking her teeth into yet so rarely gets to play! I could watch these characters all day!

  • Kate Danley: Hearts of Brothers' Temper

Such a fascinating history of the Booth brothers! I had the privilege of touring Edwin Booth's apartment in The Players Club and was astonished by how all the Booth family, not just John, shaped American history and how that history has disappeared to time. This is a great piece that sheds light on the brotherly rivalry that changed the world.

  • Kate Danley: The Rules

A painfully funny play that drags out the rules some couples live by and exposes their ridiculousness to the light. I have a feeling this piece may save a lot of audience member's future happiness and mental health... If you're living by these rules, even if you haven't signed the paperwork, find the nearest exit!

  • Kate Danley: Faerie Ring

One of the things I love about fantasy and fairytales is that it allows us to discuss difficult topics from within the safety of a magic circle. This is a beautiful ten minute play about motherhood and its difficulties as one's autonomy disappears for the benefit of a child, but it also provides a caution and guidance on how to find one's way and why it is important to fight the call of the fairies.

  • Kate Danley: Drawing Room Talk (5 Minute Play/Sketch)

An absolute scream! It's Jane Austen modernized, but also not. It takes all the tropes and lovingly gives them a good ribbing. I could not adore this more. If your theatre has done Jane Austen recently, this piece will delight your audiences. Highly recommend!

  • Kate Danley: PINATA

An absolutely hilarious study of the politics and personalities found among mom groups! If you've ever dipped your toe into the world of mommy influencers or PTA groups, you will laugh yourself silly. Great characters, zippy dialog, and situations we've either been witness to or wished would happen.
