Such a delightful short! It takes your typical kitchen sink dynamics and adds an alien to hilarious effect! This little grok triangle is out of this world!

  • Kate Danley: The Juggler

Such a charming and delightful short! You go along, thinking you know the game, and then along comes the final line and it is *chef's kiss*. The perfect little piece!

  • Kate Danley: The German Play

Absolutely hilarious! As someone who studied the german language for a hot minute years ago and was completely baffled by it, this is funny because, in addition to it being hilarious, it is so true. It works on all the levels, from dialog to character to insider theatre jokes to physical opportunities. I hope someone snatches up this play and puts it on! Preferably at an Oktoberfest!

  • Kate Danley: Barcelona

So much fun!! You know when you were a kid and pretended to be a super spy? This taps into all the joy of that play. I couldn't wait to find out how this crack team was going to get out of their scrape! A total crowd pleaser!

  • Kate Danley: THE RITUAL (ten minute play)

They say that teachers have seen everything and this play presents two teachers on recess duty who have TRULY seen everything! I laughed so hard! If you have a festival of Halloween shorts, you are going to want this play. Absolutely hilarious!

  • Kate Danley: 1-800-HELL-CALLS

A call center in hell! Lest you think I'm repeating myself, this play means that literally. Great dialog, great characters, you think it is going one direction and then it... well, it would be evil of me to spoil it for you. A positively devilish comedy!

  • Kate Danley: The Bed Trick

I had the pleasure of catching the Seattle Shakespeare's production of this play and my mind is still reeling! (In a good way!) One of the delicious things about Shakespeare is he presents humanity as it exists, not necessarily how we would like humanity to be. And Keiko has taken All's Well and explored it in a modern context, dissecting the relationships of that play in human terms. Really brilliant! It would be a great companion piece to All's Well in a season!

  • Kate Danley: Veterans of Community Theatre

How much would I love a veterans hall for theatre people? Yes! We HAVE been through a war! A war for ART! This short is absolutely delightful and if you've ever hung out late at a cast party trading stories, it will tickle your funny bone! Bravo!

  • Kate Danley: For a Limited Time Only (The Bread Play)

You know the short story, The Monkeys Paw? Well, take that curse, stick it in a Olive Garden, give it a soupcon of Grand Guignol, and you've got this play!! So twisted, so warped, so brilliant! If you're putting together Halloween programming and are looking for something original, here's your script. You will never look at breadsticks the same!

  • Kate Danley: The Bleeding Heart Academy for Girls Presents...

"A play is like a musical that never gets to the good part." It was at this line that I fell head over heels in love with this play! SO hilarious! I cackled out loud! This comedy takes no prisoners. If Mean Girls and Bring it On tried to put on A Christmas Carol, it would be this play. Entertaining, witty, and smart, AND with a large cast of comedic student-aged roles for women, I think would be an absolute hoot for any senior class or college to perform.
