  • Kate Danley: Getting Her Exorcise

Absolutely HILARIOUS. It takes every possession trope you've ever heard and flips it on its head. It was such a delight to discover what was going to happen next! This would be a great piece for a night of Halloween shorts!

  • Kate Danley: Owning Shakespeare (Ten Minute Play)

If you've ever toured Stratford-Upon-Avon, you've heard the tale of the man who tore down Shakespeare's house because he hated him so much. This is a great little piece that incorporates all of the history (the house, the curse, the skull). If your theatre specializes in Shakespeare, this will get your audience humming with appreciation!

  • Kate Danley: Call For Submissions

This play sings with the rhythms of a 1940s news room. It had the pacing and clip of His Girl Friday... erm... except with Martians. They say that sci-fi is the fertile ground for new ideas that have changed our world.
Well, this play takes that premise and runs with it. An absolute delight!

  • Kate Danley: Witnesses To The Execution

A stunning examination of the death penalty and all its complexities. It unfolds seamlessly from gallows humor to deep philosophical questions. At no point did it feel heavy handed or like it was imposing answers, rather it was an invitation to thoughtful introspection of the death penalty from all sides. How appropriate it is set in a diner, because it will give your audience a lot of food for thought!

  • Kate Danley: MADAME HO

This is a powerful, important play about a chapter of American history that was just a few short generations ago. Eugenie Chan explores this world with poetic, music-like prose and imagery. I wish I had the words to describe this play better, but it was one of those scripts that leaves you speechless.

  • Kate Danley: Sparkle City

Wow! What a great piece! It has this sparkling, nostalgic dialog; it played with the well-tread plot tropes of young lovers; and then takes it all and turns it on its head.

  • Kate Danley: THE PANDA MURDERS

So wrong! And yet so right! It leans into every single murder mystery trope, spins it around, and turns it on its head. It's an absurd riff of Clue and Agatha Christie tied up in a Tom Stoppard bow. Absolutely hilarious! It would make such a fun addition to an evening of 10-minute pieces.

  • Kate Danley: Stintz Milestrip Center

This play is like a ballet with dialog that weaves in and out of different worlds with precision timing. I adored how it pushes the theatrical form and would love to see it in action! Never read anything like it before!

  • Kate Danley: The Victorian Ladies' Detective Collective

A tense psychological thriller filled with sparkling dialog and fantastic roles for women. It delves into the darker side of humanity as these women seek to take down a Jack the Ripper-like killer, but does so in a way that explores the injustices and abuses that women endure. It is never heavy handed, but also doesn't shy away. I was also impressed with the historic details of this play, down to the inclusion of jujitsu that many women of the era learned in order to protect themselves. This play is one-of-a-kind!

  • Kate Danley: A Murther of Crows

Great pacing! Wonderful characters! Atmosphere so thick, you could cut it with a dagger! This entire play is moody, joy-filled, swashbuckling fun.
