  • Nora Louise Syran: THE LESSER LEYENDECKER, a 90-100 minute full-length drama, LGBTQ+ themes

Arianna Rose's clear grasp of the theatrical, historical and artistic is on full display in this tightly woven story of the leaders of the commercial art movement of America in the early 20th century. The play flies through time and their collective troubles with amazing fluidity, beautiful imagery and compelling confrontations. Brava.

  • Nora Louise Syran: The Pain In the Poetry (10-minutes)

Oh, just lovely! A play for any human being who seeks more from life than the routine obligations and miscommunications that cloud our way forward. This couple might have a second chance to ...collaborate. Audiences will be grinning from ear to ear!

  • Nora Louise Syran: Outpost

Love it! "You're drawing political comparisons where there are none!" Sicklesian humor throughout, effective technique of questions and answers and we're immersed in a complete world which is about to... "does it matter?" Great tension. "Extrapolating from the most available data": Great script by Scott Sickles and a super audio production by Broken Arts Entertainment. Bravo

  • Nora Louise Syran: A QUARTER PLACED ON RAILROAD TRACKS

There are moments in our lives that just stay with you. You feel them coming, the significance of the impending moment rumbling from far off, down the line. Martin, with deft brush strokes, captures so much in ten short minutes. Loved it.

  • Nora Louise Syran: Marianas Trench (Part One of The Second World Trilogy)

Like Bradbury, Atwood and Orwell, Sickles puts his prophetic pen to what ails us. A powerful piece. Stop reading these words and read his.

  • Nora Louise Syran: GONE TO THE DOGS, a 10-minute musical by Arianna Rose and Chandra McClelland

For my first experience with a ten minute musical, I am delighted to have stumbled upon this amusingly dark, twisted and satisfyingly concluded little gem of a mini musical. Oh, we do hope Alice gets a studio of her own--in Paris!

  • Nora Louise Syran: THIS SHORT LIFE (TEN-MINUTE PLAY)

Love Trevor the Vampire: proudly narrating himself, taking offense at Emily Dickinson's jabs and considering veganism over vampirism. Richter throws in some cracking "areligious" humor too and, borrowing from Borowitz, offers up a fun short play for the Halloween season.

  • Nora Louise Syran: Emily's Room

O'Grady has crafted a lovely short play which captures Dickinson's final years and her legacy. An accessible piece for both lovers of poetry and those new to Dickinson. I'm certain audiences unfamiliar with Dickinson will be curious to continue reading the poems touched on by the two charming and relatable lovers on whose happiness I'm sure Dickinson would be smiling.

  • Nora Louise Syran: The Psychopomp

Aly Kantor depicts a beautiful brush with death (and the hopeful avoidance of a premature one) with her signature wit, symbolism, the blending of past and present and the hope of salvation in the future. Kantor herself acts as a psychopomp of sorts, guiding us through the characterization of her female roles who, while seemingly trapped and often lost when we meet them, offer us hope and example as they struggle to act with agency, find strength and lead us all forward by their example. Lovely work.

  • Nora Louise Syran: Come Again

If ever we needed a Second Coming, even a "relentlessly, annoyingly cheerful" one, it would be now. A chance to put things right. And if anyone were to put it into words, like unwilling prophet Marina finds herself having to do, to speak for Jesus, it would be, it IS, Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend. "I like that you’re holding onto a bygone era..." I like that this playwright can attack so many charged topics as well as her character does. "God’s not flooding the earth. You people are." Lovely. Charming and gut-punchingly funny. Classic.
