This work documents artist Martha Lysa's experiences in war-torn Ukraine. Hopefully her country's story will be soon turning a new page, but Martha's words, stewarded by Plumridge, are preserved: motifs--her people's hatred of Putin but sympathy for the fallen enemy dead and captured, the constant noise of air raid siren warnings, battles with insomnia and juxtaposed images of hope and desire to create amidst the destruction-- serve as powerful reminders of the ever present importance to speak out and spread truth in the face of so many lies. Important.
