  • D. Lee Miller: Remembered

What a gentle, thoughtful play with gentle, thoughtful characters. The connection between the older woman, who is selling her home and the younger man looking to buy, is a sturdy dream - a solid connection that happens between actions. Luckily, Mabey has captured it for us in this beautiful play.

  • D. Lee Miller: LIFE AFTER WONDERFUL

Once again, Vivian Lermond takes us to a place in our hearts - a place of memory, while making new new memories. The characters are pure American - and pure human. Wonderful work. Enjoyable, too.

  • D. Lee Miller: Eating in the Dark

The light of humor is cast upon obesity in EATING IN THE DARK by Debbie Lamedman. We've all lived this - whether as one of the women in the theatre, or any public place, who doesn't fit in his/her seat. Lamedman has chosen the perfect characters to help reveal the truth of the situation. Well done!

  • D. Lee Miller: Three Seconds To Midnight

What a fun world John Mabey has constructed in THREE SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT! A two hander that may be a first, Father Time is confronted by a lawyer with a request. Three seconds to midnight. Is it possible to give the lawyer her wish? It looks like not -- until an opportunity arises. Mabey writes assuredly and takes us on a fun ride with some extra twists.

  • D. Lee Miller: 2 Bdrm 1 Bath

In 2 BDRM 1 BATH, Floyd-Priskorn has given us a short screenplay of a married couple becoming more and more relaxed with each other. Living a small one-room apartment that they try and sell, we see their morning rituals evolve through time. But the joke is one them. And us. A well written comedy.

  • D. Lee Miller: The Disappearing Diamonds: From The Casebook of Beak E. Baxter

I just love 'The Disappearing Diamonds' by Robert Weibezahl. What a great introduction to noir via a cast of animals! There is smart dialogue and funny characters that will really intrigue young audiences. Well done, Weibezahl. This makes theatre for young audiences palatable for adults, too!

  • D. Lee Miller: Second Look (10 minute excerpt of SEEING EYE)

Nick Malakhow wrote a lovely play in SECOND LOOK - This is an excerpt of SEEING EYE. A cute meeting of 2 gay men outside a gar bar introduces us to a scene that is both sweet and tough. The characters grow as they take the time to learn to really find out what the other meant. I look forward to more of Malakhow's work.

  • D. Lee Miller: Pep Talk - a monologue

A encapsulation of dating in the time of quarantine and more specifically, Zoom. But how do you encapsulate all the nervous feelings - including desire - and thoughts that are breaking out of your pores? Hayley St. James does this and does it well. An actor will have a fine and fun time with this monologue.

  • D. Lee Miller: Menopause Play

Jan is going into menopause and wants everyone to know about it. Why is it verboten? Jennifer O'Grady tackles one of the last 'private' bastions with humor and grace. This play should be playing on the TV in every women's doctor's office so people don't have a hard time discussing it. Cheers to Jennifer O'Grady!

  • D. Lee Miller: Shakespeare's Dilemma (A Will, Kempe & Ed Play)

Shakespeare's Dilemma is a charming play - a wonderful portrait into how things might have been when Edward De Vere decided to write plays. I like my Shakespeare funny and he and Kemp do have a humor when it comes to De Vere. A wonderful introduction to the time and place of 1593 London theatre. Well done, O'Grady!
