Just adorable! Wonderful characters! So much fun to create and bring to life. This will be the script student actors will be fighting to be a part of!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Daydream

How did Florian And Briar find their way to Heather's daydream?! They swore I was...I mean, wow! What a relatable, funny play about surviving the holidays! A girl can and SHOULD dream! And the dishes are a great place to escape.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Snooze: a monologue

This is adorably weird and relatable! We all could benefit from extra snoozes. And the ending is so open you could be talking to anyone. This is a very malleable piece and each actor that performs it will find something unique and special to bring it to life.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Safe Place (full length)

I first read the one act version of this play and it made me sob. This one hit me in all the thinky-philosophical muscles. Is what Dax does to(for) Dan and Cindy a gift or a slow emotional torture? How many times can we love and lose before it changes who we are entirely? I like the thought of this scifi concept tremendously. It's peaceful, even though the life provided to Dan, Cindy and Helen might have an uncanny valley to it. The mystery is why do we have these emotions? Beautiful story!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Ballad: A Two Character Play

This is something special. Just like the relationship Larry has with his father-in-law Emmett. They become family, but share the hardships, much like the gunfighters in the story they tell one another. It's sad and beautiful, how two men can come together and though by rights should no longer still communicate, their bond is almost stronger. There are a million creative ways to stage this.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Not Like This: a short play

Though this is not a true "open scene," there is so much room for interpretation in this piece depending on how you cast Ash and Bash and I find that so very exciting! I also adore that Bash is concerned with all of the "left behind" pets. Exactly the first thing I would worry about! This piece is full of sadness with a light hope frosting. No matter how you play this, this story will keep audiences talking long after the lights come up.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Birthright

I love the atmosphere of this audio play. It's very relatable until it becomes terrifying! And that's exactly how it scares the listener. Just like the historic origins (from ancient legend, to 70s horror films) of the vampire story, the horrors are based on familiar situations and fears. A horror story that draws you in and makes you think!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Afterlife

This is a fascinating and wonderful story of science and its desire to discover (or uncover) the unknown. But also a desire for some form of immortality. I could picture this as a celebrity filled motion picture as well. I am all in for this wonderful story!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: What Hath the Wraith's Wreath Wrought?

YES! I saw the content warning. But I was not prepared for the W's that were waiting! This is dark and silly. Not a combo we get enough of and I absolutely adore it!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Miracle on Hollywood & Vine

Poetic, adorable and full of character. Weaver is right, youth actors will nail this piece! The end is magic!
