This is the perfect short spooky play for young performers. Atmospheric, not graphic, full of relatable characters and fun fear building. Students will love putting this play together!

The medical device in this play may be somewhat futuristic, but how the "business of medicine" operates is unfortunately very now. The U.S. really needs to consider circumstances like this play and realize how Americans health being a for profit industry creates a domino effect that can destroy us all. Hadley is actually helping others now that she has this medical device. But if she can no longer afford it, how many others will suffer without her?

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: IT'S DEAD IN HERE ON TUESDAYS

This play starts out as the ultimate character study of rural Michigan and then suddenly it becomes a spiritual journey about the afterlife and faith. I love the world building here and the roles of the Szubinski Brothers are a great place to show off some stage combat and comic relief!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Thirty-Foot Hamster Wheel

This play proves that disorganization in the planning of a short play festival can KILL! Even if it's a one minute play festival! But it also proves the spirit of the theatre makers who will make sure the show goes on no matter what. So really (and it always should be this way) it starts with the playwright. A cautionary tale to playwrights to not write a play that has elements that could destroy the world, because the right theatre WILL make it happen! The bear bit had me laughing so hard!!!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A New Dimension

Film students would love to tackle the design elements of the fantasy world in this script. The scenes are short and fast making it a great piece to tackle for a student's tight shooting schedule. Very imaginative!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Snacks, Drugs, and the Sexual Appetites of the Gays

How can such INSANE parents still be so lovable?! I just adore how much they care a little TOO much about their son's happiness. And the fact that their son, though embarrassed, is honestly happy to have their support. This is play about love, masquerading as a horror/comedy! Absolutely brilliant details in the lists and supplies mom and dad bring. This play would slay as the ending to a short play festival!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: THIS SHORT LIFE (TEN-MINUTE PLAY)

I laughed out loud several times in this play! Trevor is a great character and I am glad to see Richter has given him plenty of plays to shine in. This one has a sweet twist with the ghost of Emily Dickinson giving him poetic food for thought about Trevor's murderous need for living blood. It's funny, touching and beautiful all at once! I adore Trevor!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: TEARJERKER

Wow. This is such a great concept. And really a testament to how much tragedy a person can handle before they emotionally just shut down and feel nothing. I love how this play ended, though. With a nice twist and hope through terror. A beautiful and strange piece to start a dialogue about dealing with too much emotionally.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Rotted

This is delightful! It's about time we heard from the zombie perspective. And I love the humor in what they "used to do" before they zombied out! Great piece for The Broken Arts podcast!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Lot of Time to Think

I'm such a claustrophobic and this is terrifying! Especially the hopelessness and randomness of poor Foster's plight. This will be the cause of many nightmares to come!
