  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cryptid Hotline

Who knew cryptids can suffer the fallout from disinformation, too? I absolutely love this short play and the wonderful world building within it. The characters are so full and relatable despite their very different DNA. I would be on board for a full length play about this. The Hope story has me all in!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Wrestling One's (Sleep Paralysis) Demons

This play really made me smile. It was very relatable from the start. I am sure we have all had those dreams where we try to scream and no sound comes out! But if we really think about it, our dreams are just our minds trying to work out our problems. And this demon is a great cheerleader, with or without pom pons!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Border Run

This is absolutely high tension and terrifying because it is so very possible. Very easy to stage but would make a powerful short film as well. All the details are well painted and the actors will have some powerful words to showcase their talents through.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Doll Hospital

This was not what I was expecting at all! And I love the way the subject is dealt with in this play. It's a dark subject, but from the perspective of dolls, it is much easier to digest. This may be a feminist play, but it is also a play that will force the masculine to examine their own desires and thoughts toward the women of their world.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The End Is Nigh (And Yet, So Far)

Owen is such a likeable character, you almost want to join the cult. His monologue on stupidity is just wonderful. This is such a great piece with wonderful characters, audiences will leave laughing and wishing the world of this play would never end.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Gold Paint

What starts out to be the 1960's version of "Weekend at Bernie's" becomes a very poignant story about two different cultures "othered" in America, brought together as America is deeply afraid of and hunting down those they see as "threats" to society. Everyone is on edge, but the Goldbergs still find a way to bring the humor. Lots of great monologues in this play, too!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: More Weight

Wow. This play touches on the part of THE CRUCIBLE that stuck with me. The stoic, brave words Giles Corey was reported to say in defiance to the court re: witchcraft in Salem. In my youth, it was definitely the words of a hero. But in perspective, yes, Giles was likely as much a horrible misogynist as any other man of his time. And the women who suffered losses of family as well as their own lives are more easily forgotten. With the perspective of the future voice of Agnes, this play truly changes everything!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Flight of Fancy

This play shows a lovely "human" connection in a very unexpected way. At first the connection feels very one sided and superficial. But it is lovely to watch it grow and unfold. The device of having all the other characters and props mimed really cuts out the "noise" of the environment and allows you to focus on the two "people" assisting each other, learning and "upgrading."

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 16 Contestant Show Talent

Whoa! This is a challenging 1 minute play! And now the title TOTALLY makes sense. I would be very impressed to witness this in performance!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Bad in Bed (A Fairy Tale)

This is such a fun and different premise. And the fact it takes place in one of my favorite places on earth, Marquette, I just had to read it! The ritual scene will be so hilarious and I can just imagine the fun staging to introduce Deb's character. I would love to play that part, for sure. But the most important thing is the message that men should listen more. And I hope this is encouragement to those who need to hear it most.
