  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Fight for Purity, A Radio Play

This was a delightfully silly radio play! I laughed out loud several times, I can only imagine how much more fun it would be hearing the sound effects. I think Jack Levine might have a series on his hands here!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Tiny Thin Woman Inside

Mickey's monologue half-way through the play had me wiping away tears. It all felt so familiar while remaining a bit surreal. This dark comedy will stick with me for a while. We are constantly being told about the thin woman inside of us, if only we would let her out. But once she's out, what darkness or emptiness will take her place? And will this just be the first reveal in a never ending nesting doll of reaching for an unreachable ideal?

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: That'swhatshesaid

This is so frustratingly eye-opening. Even as a female identifying actor, you see how few roles are available to audition for from season to season, but you don't grasp the scope of the limitations until you see it played out here in living color. An entire season of theatre and the female characters are barely allowed to speak when they are given the opportunity to speak...and so many "I'm sorry"s. Frustrating and important.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: No More Tea?

As an American, I can still relate to the over-the-top demands of Brian and his tea requirements. Everyone has something that has to be just perfect. For Brian, it is tea. And it really is a pretty simple request, it just goes all sixes and sevens on him! Derek's last line kills!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Stiff Competition

I love comedy that surprises, and this really took me by surprise!!!! The whole concept is unbelievably gruesome, yet relatable and wholly hilarious! I will be laughing about this for a long time!...and also counting my lucky stars I don't have a kid that needs help with their science project!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: You See Them in the Corners of Your Eyes

I don't know how Prillaman did it, but this play had me totally disarmed at the beginning and suddenly WHAM! I am crying! I was enjoying the "Dr Who"-like horror stories the two friends were sharing. But when I realized how deep the well of their friendship actually ran...Well, I am going to need another box of tissues and a nightlight to get through the night...

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Kill Your Darlings Faster

I loved this fast paced parody of what we, as artists, worry the world of art consumption has become! Every micro bite of literature, theatre and film is delicious! And we are still left with hope for the future of art as a whole! So much fun AND a think piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: MLM is for Murder (Or, Your Side Hustle is Killing Us)

I am really impressed how this play blurs the line between "heroes" and "villains" here, with such relatable circumstances. There is a lot of humor, but also, I found myself laughing uncomfortably at times, seeing so many people I recognized reflected in this story. Absolutely would love to see this staged!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Ever is Never

This play feels some parts "Alice in Wonderland" some parts "Ready Player One" some parts "Peter Pan" and some parts a Canadian mini-series I used to love called "The Odyssey." But it's still so very original and engaging! I feel like this could work live on stage as well as on Zoom without losing any of its magic and weird world building. It was such a fun journey to read through! I would love to see it come to life! You gotta read this! You gotta produce this!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Death Plans A Holiday

Poor Death. It's hard to plan a vacation when it seems work follows you everywhere! This short play is full of physical comedy! The audience will be "dying of laughter" as poor Camille tries to survive this phone call. A great showcase for a trio of actors with strong comic timing!
