  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: You’re My Favorite

This monologue, with all of its sweet, innocent words of love, hurts so much. I'm crying now as I type this recommendation. But I think even Lady knows, love isn't free. There is always a price to pay. Such a beautiful insight to the innocence of love. And end of life is never the end of love.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: My Body

Wow. I. Love. This. Play. Is it wrong that I wish this could be our world? Just for a little while? Yeah, it's wrong. But this play is oh so right! I would love to see this performed. I am sure the design team would have fun designing the collar, too!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Dog Park Afternoon

This is a sweet little "pupcake" of a play. When strangers bond over dogs and baked goods, magic happens. Also some misunderstandings. But as long as there are cupcakes and belly rubs at the end, everyone will leave the dog park happy. This will be a fun play for student actors, but a very fun challenge for student sound designers as well!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Three Anne Franks

In a surreal, yet frank play about actors vying to be in a play about a real turned surreal historical character, 3 actors and a props master dig deep into the world of Anne Frank. When the atrocities of the past become nothing more than props to a story, do we lose the humanity of the moment? Is it important to be exactly who Anne was to understand her? This play is beautiful while still being funny and relatable.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Improv Class

I got to the last couple of pages of this seemingly goofy and slapstick play highlighting the pain of doing improv with an inflexible partner...and then I gasped. Fighting tears, I got to THE END. This was BRILLIANT. I can't believe how real it suddenly got and I have to give major kudos to Connon. I hope this play gets so many productions and awards. It deserves it.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Taylor-Made

This is such a sweet play about the worries new parents have as they imagine their potential child. It covers everything from gender and its wide spectrum, to religion, to the simple physical attributes. Funny without actually discounting or making fun of anything, this play is so well written and deep! This would be a great addition to an evening of theatre or even to be performed for a group of expectant parents! (Even those adopting, to be honest) I select "Y" on this play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Waiting Room

This short play has a message without really beating you over the head with the message. It can be easily staged and could really be a great part of an evening of theatre or even a rally! Lisa is a very clever and relatable character. Robin is a great calming factor without discounting the gravity of Lisa's words. A very tight, well written short play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Dog

I actually found myself breathing out an air of relief and my muscles finally relaxed when I got to the end of this play. High tension from beat one. Absolutely dark and real in a very surreal manner. It's a heartbreaking picture of the cycles of abuse.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Three Sisters in Repertory

Students of theatre will love the opportunity to perform all of the classic roles layered into this sweet and romantic one act. Theatre lovers will get their money's worth with all of the classic plays jammed into this fun, backstage romp!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Steps

I love how this play, inspired by a single image, delves so deep into 3 different lives and the change that they are all experiencing together. As an actor, I love how the monologues are interspersed with poetic "dialogue" interludes between the characters, but they never really speak to one another. They are together, in the same situation and soon the same family, but still worlds apart. Magical and tragic.
