  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: O.B.O. [a monologue]

This one person catharsis of a play would be an honor for any performer to tackle. The trickle of details that comes through brings the audience along with Cassie as she remembers the life she was trapped in and they will take a deep breath together when they realize she is finally free.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Actress - One Act Play

Kaminski deftly unravels the clues and information in this short little thriller in such a natural way. The dialogue is natural and sends you on a rollercoaster ride with many surprise twists and turns all the way to the very end. The audience will be left very surprised when the curtain falls, I know I was!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: NIXIN' NIXON (10 Minute Play)

I smiled the whole time I was reading this play! The dialogue is so natural, even though having a framed photo of Nixon may be unnatural...autographed or not! The two main characters are very real and relatable and you get their friendship from lights up. This would be a fun short for college students to perform. Highly recommend!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Sheltering In A Broken Place

This lyrical monologue is full of the tension and scattered thoughts many of us may be feeling currently. Many may be afraid to leave the world of our own broken tables, too. I can imagine this character, struggling to make the best of the world they have, while mourning the loss of the world around them. This line hit me in particular: "they will all lose the jobs that no one else has ever wanted." They describe their table prison with such love, though. They may have holes in their roof, but they can see the stars...

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Ashen Crown

This play feels like a dark faerie tale, a Greek tragedy and a horror story all rolled in to one. The dialogue alone is eerily musical. With strong female characters willing to get what they want at almost any cost, The Ashen Crown would make a very powerful addition to a theatre's season. Audiences will be talking for days what they think all of the symbolism means. Very rich and darkly woven tapestry of words here! It would also be a worthy show to design!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Skin and Bone

"Woooowww!" That is exactly what I said out loud after finishing this play. So dark and gothic and full of tension and heartbreak. Even more exciting, the strong roles for older women. They aren't to be pitied. They are intimidating and powerful as hell! I hope a theatre near me decides to produce this soon!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Wish Play

The power of words. This play is very stream of consciousness, like a real journal. But it also has the feel of A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM to me. Even the stage directions are fun to read. For a night of romance and whimsy, a theatre couldn't go wrong producing this fun and dreamy play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Here's Hoping

It's easy to forget how serious the AIDS crisis was/still is. This is a powerful piece that shows how hard it is to accept when things are out of your control. Very informative and educational. Williams knows how to take a hard topic and inform in a very real and touching manner.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: GROWTH IN ISOLATION

There are so many ways to interpret this piece and I love them all. It may mean one thing now (2020) and something entirely different in the future, but that's the beauty of it. People grow in many ways. Some people need to leave home to grow, others need to dig in where they are. Whatever nurtures your soul is right for you. Grow for yourself. And if people can't accept the fruits of your labor, though it hurts, its on them. I love this script! And great that its appropriate for socially distant performances!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Beasts of Warren

Wow! This was not what I expected! Directors, film and theatre alike, please read this and do what you can to produce this. It is so timely and intense! I really hope this will become a series, too. The characters are so deep and I NEED to know more!
