    There is so much to like about this play. Suzie the cow longs for more than what is supposed to be in a cow's life. When she finds a trombone, that is too outside the box for Effie. But Suzie is honest about her feeling to Beau, saying she "wants to feel sad" and Beau beautifully allows her to do so. And when Suzie finds her joy, no one makes Effie feel bad for NOT needing to be more than "just a cow." Beautiful. I want to hug a cow.

    This is a great play with music for student performers. Educational AND fun! Many roles for student actors to shine and this play doesn't talk down at all. This will always be a relevant play, in my opinion. The historical re-enactments are fun, but the framing story is very engaging as well!
