  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: JURY DUTY

I love to see roles for older actors where they are living life to the fullest. But, I can see myself being a bit like Kate in my golden years, PRETENDING I'm feeble just to get out of unpleasant things! This would be a great scene for a couple with comedic chemistry to show off!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: CHANGELING

Just like traditional folktales, I see a deeper meaning in The Changeling that resonates today. Mothers pray, hope and dream for their children, even before they meet them. But once the child enters the world, they are their own person and a mother's dreams become only dreams. The beauty in this story is that mother and child are learning to come together in a compromise of sorts, despite not being what the other imagined. They can still be together. Beautiful tale.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: True Places

This is a fascinating story with hints of Alice in Wonderland and a little Time Bandits for good measure. With history, science and finding oneself, there is something for everyone in this magical tale. So much room for creative interpretation, you could see this show produced by multiple companies and never see the same show twice. The words are there, but each show will grow uniquely depending on the hands and minds crafting it. And I think that's the point of this play!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Abort: The Mission

The sitcom pacing of this show softens the reality of the oppression women are currently living under. But through laughter, this play is a mobilizer! This would be an Emmy winning episode of The Golden Girls! The characters are so fun, the lines zing and the audiences will love the physical comedy while their message literally and figuratively hits home. This is what comedy can do for society and I am so here for it!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: 37 ORIGAMI BEES

I laughed out loud several times reading this fast paced comedy about...society? So funny and what a great take on art and artistic wanna-BEES!

I'm so scared. I pray this is just fiction and not prediction. If this doesn't terrify you, I am terrified of you.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Best Friends Forever

Whoa! I did not expect this play to go in the direction it did! I so want to know more about these characters, they are so powerful and engaging. And, frighteningly, they are so ripped from the headlines! This is a terrifying and relatable thriller!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: SECOND TIERS

Through familiar characters Alterman plays on our nostalgia for these comics of the past, just as "regular people" would lean heavily into past relationship nostalgia. We kick ourselves for what we were blind to when we were so in love. But luckily Jimmy has a Robin to guide him to the joys of the present and of course, to accept that the mistakes of the past have no power here. I love the joyful parade of an ending.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Great Retreat

This scene makes the story so accessible for a time many Americans likely know nothing about. The characters are relatable and engaging and will leave audiences wanting to know even more.
