  • Jack Levine: Recommendation

JILLIAN BLEVINS provides a most interesting, surprising and satisfying short play, “Recommendation”. There is depth to this short play. I won’t reveal the plot twist, but I highly recommend this play be read and produced.

  • Jack Levine: Tipping

JULLIAN BLEVINS’ short play, “Tipping”, is a wonderful depiction of how two strangers, who at first find their personalities so different, discover something about themselves and each other that makes them “in line” with each other.

  • Jack Levine: Last Call and Other Bar Plays

JULLIAN BLEVINS’s full-length play, “Last Call And Other Bar Plays”, has three separate short plays, all taking place in a bar. In “Tipping”, two strangers seem so different. Yet, like what happens in our own life, we may find a person is very different than our first impression. The next short play, “Recommendation”, is fascinating with a big twist,, totally unexpected. Lastly, “Last Call” is what you might expect in a bar, with all the emotions, anger, pathos. I recommend this fine work!

  • Jack Levine: THE KATIE MALONE FUTURE BOYFRIEND CLUB

SCOTT MULLEN’s ten-minute play, “The Katie Malone Future Boyfriend Club”, is a nice play. As a teen, I was very shy so I can relate very well to this play. I believe young and older audiences will enjoy watching this play performed. I’d like to see this play in a festival.

  • Jack Levine: WRECK

JONNY BOLDUC’s ten-minute play, “Wreck”, is a powerful, enlightening, and dramatic gem. It is told in a way in which the drama is continuously heighten with the disclosure of the personal traumas of the characters. I was very much surprised by the wonderful twist near the end of the play. Families are the cornerstone of our early development. Family abuse is much too common. This play reveals so much, yet it raises many worthwhile questions of choices. This is a very good ten-minute play.

DAN WEST’s full-length play, “ALEXANDER GOODKIND LOSES HIS MUSE”, is a witty and wonderful story about misusing and missing opportunities and finding out that you never really understand what you have until you’ve lost it. I loved the comedy, the use of Greek mythology, and the twists and turns. This play is a real gem. I loved the storytelling, the great advice intertwined in the plot, and the humor. I highly recommend this play, and please, please, please produce it. BRAVO!

  • Jack Levine: Etched in Stone

ANDREW MARTINEAU’s play, “Etched In Stone”, is more than likely to bring a strong emotional response from those who read it or watch a performance of it.. We all need to face the undeniable reality of death. And, when we get closer to the likely end of our lives, we may want to reflect on the past lives of our closest family and friends, as well as ourselves. We may discover the ‘truths of our lives’. We may also find a way to move forward without the ‘love of our life’. I recommend this play.

  • Jack Levine: SCARS

VANESSA CAIN’s play, “Scars”, raises many thought provoking questions: What role does poor parenting play in the development of a man or woman willing to murder someone in cold blood? What can society do to improve its way of overcoming institutional failures? Should the death penalty be invoked? Is society morally responsible for its actions, or lack of actions, when someone ‘falls through the cracks’? I think this play is well-worth a reading, and hopefully, a full production.

  • Jack Levine: Bridge

NOAH TIBBETTS’ ten-minute play, “Bridge’, is in a word brilliant. It is so well-written, totally believable, and most importantly, says so much about life’s pitfalls and attempted suicide. I found myself captivated by the tragedy of hopelessness, felt in such a deep, dark way that a person is moved to think about, and perhaps, go through with suicide. I absolutely recommend this gem, as it is so informative of attempted suicide. I commend Mr, Tibbetts for creating this work.
