  • Jack Levine: A Good Year

PHILIP MIDDLETON WILLIAMS’ “A Good Year”, is a wonderful play and is highly recommended. I really enjoyed the love of teaching imbued by Marc, as he did what most teachers do: value their students, give all they can to encourage their students, and expect nothing less than the best from their students. The challenges of working in Marc’s “dream job” were more than he might have expected. Marc’s integrity, love of teaching, and his high moral standards were tested. There is much to like in this gem by a very talented playwright.

  • Jack Levine: Come in for Coffee?

CHRISTOPHER PLUMRIDGE’s characters, Ian and Cathy, are experiencing their first date together. “Come in for Coffee?” is a fun piece, filled with humor, and a reminder that we may want the same thing but are still not be ‘on the same page”.

  • Jack Levine: Assisted Living

RICH RUBIN’s play, “Assisted Living”, is about a feisty retired mother/grandmother, who has Alzheimer’s disease. Most of the plays about this subject are sad and depressing. In this wonderful play, we witness the affects but with love and humor. There is so much to like about this play: a captivating Rose Fowler, family trying to come to grips with the situation, and the love between a mother and her family. All of it done with compassion. I highly recommend this wonderful play.

  • Jack Levine: TAILWIND (a one minute monologue)

VIVIAN LERMOND’s “Tailwind (a one minute monologue)” is a beautiful piece with the charm of the South, the wisdom of Solomon, and the poetry and art of a finely written monologue. Vivian never disappoints with her exceptional writing.

  • Jack Levine: Wolves

GEORGE SAPIO has written some wonderful plays and this one was no exception. There is so much to ponder in this powerful, elegant, and provocative play, “Wolves”. Survival and Hope must be a part of humankind’s DNA, yet the bad judgements, selfish motives, and inability to band together rather than think only of ourselves, may bring us to the end of our world. I highly recommend this play.

  • Jack Levine: Aphrodite- An Intimate Evening with the Goddess of Love

MATTHEW WEAVER paints the most exquisite portrait of a sensual interaction of the Goddess Aphrodite with the audience. “Aphrodite - An Intimate Evening with the Goddess of Love” presents a challenging but rewarding acting role for a talented actor. I was definitely intrigued and entertained by this gem. Good job!

  • Jack Levine: BACKSEAT DRIVER

SCOTT MULLEN’s play has a quirkiness about it as well as a few interesting and surprising twists. “Backseat Driver” is a fun read. I like the two characters and I am sure two actors will also like playing the parts. The audience can buckle their seatbelt and enjoy the view.

  • Jack Levine: Last Laugh

MOREY NORKIN’s “Last Laugh” is funny, sentimental, serious, and well-worth reading. The meeting of two comics turns into something more than might have been expected. A generational difference doesn’t necessarily mean there is no connection.

  • Jack Levine: Monologue: I've Been Wanting to Thank You for the Gifts You Gave Me

JOHN DAILY’s play, “Gifts You Gave Me”, is a moving piece. I found this short monologue disturbing, as it was meant to be, and informative of the pain and life changing trauma to a person due to child molestation.
