  • Jack Levine: Music in the Name (a monologue)

SCOTT SICKLES’s character, Grant, wants to lose weight. As most people in this situation, he struggles mightily. “Music in the Name (a monologue)” beautifully deals with the psychology of what we think of ourselves and what we believe others think of us. Our body image is paramount to our state of mind. Like all Scott Sickles plays and monologues, I loved this gem!

  • Jack Levine: Dog Gone - A Monologue

ROBERT WEIBEZAHL’s monologue, “Dog Gone - A Monologue”, made me think of the dogs I have had and how I miss them. I love the way this piece delves into the feelings we can feel towards a pet, even though in this situation a pet was never there to begin with. Nice job!

  • Jack Levine: DITMAS (10-minutes)

GLENN ALTERMAN has written an intriguing short play in which two strangers find a connection they never would have imagined. “Ditmas” has the elements of sweetness, trauma, kindness, and bullying, and should be put onstage to delight audiences.

  • Jack Levine: Let No Man Tear Asunder

ED FRIEDMAN’s play, “Let No Man Tear Asunder”, has an intriguing plot and will leave the audience talking about it long after they leave the theater. This is what you want in a dramatic play.

  • Jack Levine: APEX PREDATOR

RACHAEL CARNES’ “Apex Predator” dramatically heightens the suspense in which Margaret is comforted with an very uncomfortable situation. This short play is well-written.

  • Jack Levine: Killer Chicken

JACK RUSHTON’s “Killer Chicken” had me chuckling and laughing from beginning to end. The banter between Doris and Louisa is fun to read and would be a delight to see performed on stage.

  • Jack Levine: It Ain't Pinter

JACK RUSHTON’s play, “It Ain’t Pinter”, wittily portrays the theatre, and sometimes personal, relations between playwright, Director and actors. Nice job!

  • Jack Levine: ZERO PERCENT CHANCE OF VISIBILITY short-form musical by Arianna Rose and Marj O'Neill-Butler

“0% Chance of Visibility Short-Form Musical By Adriana Rose and MARJ O’Neill-Butler” is a fun play with a nice message of two older women looking for, and finding, joy in their lives. Nice work!

  • Jack Levine: Border Run

GEORGE SAPIO doesn’t shy away from the reality of what will be happening in the USA in his play, “Border Run”. You cannot help but be shocked, saddened, and stressed over the unfairness our new world (i.e., reversal of Roe) will be. There’s a lot to think about in this play. Good work!

  • Jack Levine: Sunbrella (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

DEBRA A. COLE hits ‘the nail on the head’, so to speak, and shows us what we all should know: Common sense is not something you can buy; and being “up to date” is not limited to only the young. “Sunbrella” is a fun play!
