  • Michele Clarke: CRIME SCENE WEAPON

What a moving look at a once powerful man in the last days of his life. And it's done with such madcap humor. Definitely mature themes and language!

  • Michele Clarke: HERITAGE RANCH

The sisterhood is strong in this 10-minute gem -- it brought the house down in a recent reading. The audience could barely catch its breath people were laughing so hard. And the dialogue captures the casual relationship Bostonians have with blue language hilariously! See this if it's staged near you!

  • Michele Clarke: DISCOVERY

A 10-minute excerpt of this bold and thought-provoking piece started arguments in the audience during a recent showcase. Cohen draws on a clinical career and personal experiences to devise a compelling case to rethink what we believe about Alzheimer's.

  • Michele Clarke: PRINCESS AND THE PEA

Kristin Stewart knows comedy -- her re-telling of this fable for young audiences (and the young at heart) comes at you in multiple ways. It's smart, physical (think classic broad comedies and slapstick), with inside jokes for the older audience members. And the premise is outstanding -- perfect for a modern audience (no spoilers!). The multigenerational production I saw was fantastic. I'd also love to see this done with all adults (think Good Man, Charlie Brown and Putnam County Spelling Bee). What a gift to young and older audiences alike.

  • Michele Clarke: The Penance - 10 Minute Play

A wonderfully crafted 10-minute mystery packed with red herrings and -- in a world awash in plays with twists -- a truly surprising ending. Audiences will likely gasp aloud.

  • Michele Clarke: Dragonflies

Exceptional! A perfect opener for a night of summer camp shorts. And closer for a night of macabre shorts. About two-thirds of the way through you'll rush back to the beginning and re-read it to find all the clues you missed. A powerful ending with meaty opportunities throughout for actors and director.

  • Michele Clarke: everyone in new york is beautiful

Flynn nails 20-something Brooklyn. This is an amazing piece of work. The characters are exceptionally well drawn-- from the archetypes to the incredibly vivid descriptions to the overwhelming subtext of age-and-stage angst (complete with casual vulgarity). The writing is electric. The dialogue, dense. And there's a mother of a monologue that few will have the courage to use in audition. The last scene will break your heart - right before it melts it. This 2024 O'Neill semi-finalist is well worth your time.

  • Michele Clarke: The Cons

Alaina Tennant has found a great - and important - story to tell. The way she draws each character - especially her command of the dialect(s) is especially strong. Audiences will enjoy THE CONS.

  • Michele Clarke: OEUF

It's a real gift to be able to use humor to broach life's heaviest subjects. Annie Fox does just that with OEUF. I was all-in on this poignant and whimsical wager.
