  • Flores en el infierno

It takes a writer of great skill to make you understand and empathize with these people in the prison system. Gonzalez tackles the issues of systemic racism in the prison system while examining the souls and wants of the men inside. A huge play, something that could be produced by a company like Cornerstone to reach out to the families of the incarcerated to uplift them and to advocate for their loved ones. And by using Spanglish, Gonzalez makes it even more relatable and more real. Una obra espectacular.
  • Caddie Woodlawn TYA Version

A beautiful, sensitive adaptation of the Newbery Award winning classic. Wonderful songs and a terrific leading part for a young woman make this a wonderful TYA.
  • Underground
    1 May. 2018
Underground in a dark place, a young man ready to explode. Polak brilliantly makes us sympathetic, and horrified at the same time. He put me into that young man's mind, a place I didn't think I'd ever understand. I don't know how to process the young man's actions, but now I understand him a little better.
  • A Weekend with Pablo Picasso
    26 Apr. 2018
A muscular, vivid one man show about Picasso. Expertly performed by Siguenza, but so well written that it would be a wonderful piece for a fearless actor to tackle.

Brilliant, insightful and self aware. Elaine is rapidly becoming one of my favorite writers. She should be having productions everywhere.
  • Jets, Sharks, Beckys

This piece is a sharp and clear eyed take on whitewashing in the industry and the general cluelessness of the average person to their privilege. True and frustrating and real. A great piece for a smart Latinx actor.

Beautiful reflection on the cruelty of the world and the power of the human who strives to better it.
  • Bullet for Your Kid

Honest, clear eyed and painful. What are we asking teachers to do, just walking into their classrooms? This monologue digs deep into the motivations of a substitute teacher, and makes you listen.

Hits you like a ton of bricks. Especially if you have a child. Powerful.
  • Down and Brown Thanksgiving

Hilarious, but biting. This piece has a lot to say about perception vs reality when speaking about Latinidad. Elizabeth is such a strong and fierce voice, and she's unafraid to skewer sacred cows.
