  • Marshall Logan Gibbs: Rewind

Nostalgia quickly turns to horror as we realize maybe it is best to leave the past alone. It makes me think of the culture of reboots and remakes in present Hollywood, and how they are often doomed to fail from the start - leave the great movies of the past alone! A great opportunity for set design and a costume reveal that would be so cool to see live.

  • Marshall Logan Gibbs: A Penny for Your Thoughts

It was so interesting to see thoughts personified in this play! We all know the feeling of getting lost in our thoughts, losing our train of thought, or our thoughts racing a mile a minute - and this is a super exciting opportunity for actors to manifest that physically in their performance. I especially love where the play ends: the thoughts scrolling mindlessly on their phones as their humans make out. A perfectly hilarious ending to a fun thought experiment!

  • Marshall Logan Gibbs: RABIES

A play about animals that is so remarkably human. I often wonder “what is it that makes us human? What is it that sets us apart?” To me, this play hit the nail on the head, by exploring this through animal eyes. It is our compulsion for selflessness, to put others we care about before ourselves, and to do right by them when they are gone. I commend the playwright’s ability to find such distinct, rich voices for all of the animals included in the play. A script that actors can really sink their teeth into. (Pun intended!)
