  • Darrin Friedman: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

If you want to put a smile on your face then I highly recommend you read this short play. It’s charming and wonderful and I’m so glad I found this. I have read more of Christopher’s work, and as in the other cases, he proves to have complete command of his character’s paths and he does so while charming his way on to the end. I loved this piece. Bravo.

  • Darrin Friedman: Family Visitation (Ten Minute)

I just finished this and I’m heartbroken. Absolutely gutted by this piece. Paul, you have created an entire story with such depth in such a small period of time that it is a wonder. Marvelous writing.

  • Darrin Friedman: The Fist of Branding

Omg, this is brilliant. I just laughed so hard my wife told me to shut up. Hilarious. Great stuff. You have mad skills!

  • Darrin Friedman: The Big Sneeze (or Much Achoo About Nothing)

Morey's writing and craft are wonderful in this play. It's funny, smart, and charming. Quick lesson learned: I will never hold in a sneeze for the rest of my life! If you are looking for a charming one-act, this is your ticket. Great read, and I would love to see this performed.

  • Darrin Friedman: Cabana Boy

Cabana Boy is a perfect example of what a truly talented writer can do when they use their skills to develop a story and characters we grow to care about. It’s funny where it needs to be funny and dramatic when it needs to show that side of the coin. This is an authentic look at storytelling and characters, and I am thrilled to recommend this piece. And I am glad to have read it. It is just a wonderful play. I would love to see this performed. Excellent work!

  • Darrin Friedman: Tracy Jones

I met Stephen a month ago. Other than the fact that I know him to be a wonderful human, I did not know his plays and hadn't had the chance to get into one. Well, I just finished Tracy Jones, and I'm not exaggerating: it's brilliant. The play hits all the moments that make you not only truly feel for these characters and what they are going through as individuals, but he does so in a way where it's (almost) okay to find the humor in it all. It's smart and witty, and I just loved it. Bravo!

  • Darrin Friedman: Abandon All Hope

Here is a fact. Peter Fenton is a marvelous writer. He's inquisitive, makes the reader take journeys they otherwise wouldn't have expected, and does so, all the while making us enjoy the ride. This play is wonderful. It's full of charisma and wit. I recommend this piece whole-heartedly! Great job, Peter!

  • Darrin Friedman: On Growing Up (MONOLOGUE)

I'm currently reading one of Peter's other works: a full-length play. This monologue, however, reminds me of his wonderful use of getting an idea across without trying to overwrite. It's quick, gets to the point, and is a nice reminder that we all (yes, even me) need to call our mothers. So far, everything I have read of Peter's work is wonderful. He is an excellent writer, and I can't wait to read more!

  • Darrin Friedman: Watercolors

Philip Middleton William's effort in this one-act is wonderful and richly woven. Whenever you deal with the authenticity of grief and the rabbit hole of emotions that stem from loss, it always makes for more interesting characters and stories. He does so brilliantly here. There is a lot that happens on these pages, and the spirit shows through in the depth of the situation and the challenge it brings. Well done. I want more!

  • Darrin Friedman: It'll be Fine

Molly, I really want to commend you. You handle complicated subjects that real people in the real world face, and you do it with authenticity. Losing close friends, couples dealing with miscarriages is heartbreaking. And the way you bring this world to life is so well done. Excellent job. I hope this goes far!
