You can't help but fall in love with these two characters, hitmen they may be, and their conversation is a treasure as much as it is tragedy. How is anyone ever ready to truly say goodbye to a friend? The hook/setup is excellent but the beauty is in the execution.

I needed this lovely trip down existential dread lane to reach a pleasant place to eat a cheese danish in peace. Funny, sad and wonderful.

By the end of this monologue the laughs I'd piled up at the start seemed oh so hollow. Great commentary piece that will bite the audience again and again.

There's the skill of showing more by saying less and then there's the ART that this short piece climbs to. Each line of dialogue is a short punch and the reader/viewer fills in all the painful, awkward gaps to a beautiful and full story. Very lovely play.

How did Gatton fit such complex and rich characters into so few words? I will study this play for a while to learn. As a reader/viewer your own brain becomes the stage for this story and we fill in all the spaces in dialogue to create an incredibly delicate yet powerful conversation. Such an accomplishment!

I loved reading this short. So intense and foreboding. Makes the audience feel like the isolated crew hurtling toward an unknown future. Would be really fun to stage and see.

Strong dialogue carries us through a taught discussion of AI and the humans who who will (we hope) benefit. Excellent sci-fi logic puzzles and a tasty payoff finale too.

It's the little steps that add up and the speed of which they move is alarming in this short play. Scary and powerful.

I love horror and comedy and this play nails both genres perfectly. The mid-story twist for the survivor is fantastic. A wrinkle in the horror genre exploited for comedic payoff. Love it.

Making space among (gestures around wildly) is so hard. Slow honey filling the cracks in our lives is a powerful image that soothes my stress. Lovely monologue.
