  • Cam Eickmeyer: My Own Darling Boy

Jones does an incredible job of combining intense sorrow, love and beauty into one of the hardest places for such love and beauty to blossom. These characters are very strong. So much so I think they warrant a longer story!

  • Cam Eickmeyer: The Early Flight

This play was a delight to read. The characters are authentic and the lines are packed with humor. LOL moments and a delicious ending to boot. Like a slice of cake on a milkshake before lights out!

  • Cam Eickmeyer: Moments Away

In the end we hope to hold the ones we love. It make the end bearable I think. The feelings of fear, anxiety and finally relief are captured in such a short sprint of a play. Well done.

  • Cam Eickmeyer: It Was An Accident

This is an excellent dark comedy. The topic is taboo, macabre and sad, but none of that stops the rumor mill from turning. Thank God we have these two exemplary characters to lead us through the woods instead of the cousin!

  • Cam Eickmeyer: The Garden Path to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions

I adore this short play. Plenty of humor, witty dialogue and physical comedy for actors to play with. Beyond that it dances along the macabre of true crime that I love to peer over. Gotta go turn the compost bin now after this delightful read.

  • Cam Eickmeyer: Process Play

Get out of my head Leah. So relatable. Also an excellent display of dialogue and saying sooo much with few words. Excellent read.

  • Cam Eickmeyer: RAVINE (a 5-minute radio drama)

In addition to being powerful, terrifying and devastating, this short piece by Michele Clarke is also a textbook example of a great radio play! Taking notes after I calm down a bit.

  • Cam Eickmeyer: CONFLICT ON A BENCH (a 10 minute play)

Do we ever really change? Are the bullies and the bullied set on paths destined to meet again forever even if only in therapy sessions? "Conflict on a Bench" captures all of these questions and more in a rush of authentic dialogue and emotion. Excellent play!

  • Cam Eickmeyer: Vandals and Thieves WILL be Shot

It's sad, lonely and still comforting how much easier it can be to bond over grief with a stranger. There's safety in knowing you won't have to carry the shame of sharing for long. This play captures that comfort and sadness but in a way that lets us know it's ok to also sit with those feelings and that those brief interactions still have meaning. Very well written.

  • Cam Eickmeyer: Red Wine (MONOLOGUE)

An engaging monologue that hints at a much bigger story while still perfectly contained in a short hellish moment. The punishment Teresa creates is so much worse than fire and brimstone.
