  • Dawn Branch: Shall We Dance?

This is a lovely piece that highlights the complexity of the student/teacher relationship when it's no longer based on being a student and a teacher. We grow, we dream, we pursue and that can create conflict in relationships. But the basis of respect and admiration allows evolution between these two dancers, visually represented by their dancing together.

  • Dawn Branch: Delivering Christmas

DELIVERING CHRISTMAS is a delightful play that will have you crying with Christmas spirit. VanWormer has created a loving community struggling through their personal sacrifices as they prepare for Christmas in wartime. This is a beautiful story of neighbors pulling together to create Christmas magic and would be a wonderful holiday addition to any theater's season.

  • Dawn Branch: Follow the Misleader

First and foremost: this is a great farce. I imagine actors would have a delightful time with this piece. But within that farce is an even more important point - stage directions give the actors information that doesn't need to be spoken for the audience, but needs to be shown in their performance. So why would an actor EVER ignore a stage direction? It's a constant battle in the space where the written word becomes spoken and Busser's play illustrates it beautifully. Respect your stage directions!

  • Dawn Branch: Bouquet of Violets

First of all, Act 2, Scene 2 - what a way to end a scene!
This beautiful trio will have audiences contemplating the sacrifices we make - for love, for family, for art. Set against the backdrop of the Paris Salon, this story brings artwork to life and will provide gorgeous viewing in its carefully woven story.

  • Dawn Branch: A Slice of Chhena Poda

As someone constantly being asked what's new in life, and then generally having the asker not really listen but spin off on their own story, I get it! Plumridge has written a funny, accurate and touching exchange between a mother doing her best to support her son and to hear about his life.

  • Dawn Branch: Family History

Family is ... complicated. As FAMILY HISTORY unfolds, you'll be left questioning what each characters' motives are and where the truth lies in the beautifully crafted grey space. A thoughtful, provoking and edge-of-your-seat piece from Feeny-Williams.

  • Dawn Branch: Unrivaled

I actually saw this production a few nights ago. It is beautiful - funny and poignant, Narasaki depicts both the close bond that can develop in female friendships and the distrust that can tear them apart. For dealing with historical figures, the characters are modernized and relatable. I was laughing, then crying, then laughing again. Congratulations!

  • Dawn Branch: These F*cking Paper Towels

Oh, poor Joe. As if getting dumped while trying to set a date isn't bad enough. But to have everything that could go wrong in that moment actually go wrong - it's brutal. But hilarious.
