  • I saw this script performed as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. So real! The husband/wife conflict is based in the very daily stuff that we all get caught up but that makes us who we are. Extremely relatable but a super fun twist, Brathwaite deftly engages her audience making them think it's all about one thing but...looks are deceiving. This should be produced anywhere!

  • I saw the first part of this at the Midwest Dramatists Conference as a partial staged reading. Creepy and mysterious, the audience is constantly trying to figure out what is in this weird terror. Lots of room for the director and actors to play and for audience members to bring their own imaginations.

  • When a mishandled email becomes a flashpoint between a male and female co-worker, Holly Lovejoy deftly exposes the "I'm not that guy" for who he really is. Excellent dialogue and tone to convey the patronizing communications.

  • I saw this performed as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. What a beautiful examination of a young man's relationship with his past (no spoilers) in the form of ghosts. But to be fair, the ghost who visits him is also very witty and a little sarcastic and very Jewish. Heyman creates a gorgeous setting for the audience to feel so much in a short period of time.

  • I saw this script performed as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. It was absolutely hysterically funny. The poor vampire hunter who is an utter failure and has been working so hard for seven years to do his first solo field work meets a sympathetic vampire willing to help out. So, so brilliant! This would be hilarious and fun to see in full production!

  • Elana Gartner: Fire Escape

I saw this script as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. What a brilliantly written, comedic play! So much fun! I laughed out loud all the way through the script! We need this type of comedy in our lives regularly!

  • Elana Gartner: A Girl Who Acts Like That

I saw this script as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. Set in the 1970's, it is, sadly, a tale that seems it will never grow old between women not listening when they call out inappropriate behavior of men. Ferguson draws the generational boundaries and priorities of her characters very well. Well written language that reflects the time, this script remains relevant to our current times.

  • Elana Gartner: moon love

I saw this script as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. A drunken night turned odd between two friends and a beautiful vulnerability comes out of both men that is unanticipated. Some exceptionally beautiful lines, Khanna's ear for dialogue is gorgeous.

  • Elana Gartner: Coyote with Anvil on Tightrope -- A Toon Dramedy Inspired by Chuck Jones and Salvador Dali

I saw this script performed as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference but oh! How I wish I could see it performed as a full production! Triplett embraces the afterlife with the utmost hilarity in the shape of cartoons and, yet, also addresses serious issues of what happened in the life with a deft hand. Please, please! Someone produce this script! It is so brilliant!

  • Elana Gartner: Interplanetary Paul's Divorce Spectacular

I saw this script performed as a reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference. Very, very funny. Outrageously so. Paul uses his sci-fi black box theater as an escapism from his personal reality of the divorce he is going through and the cat he is missing. But everything goes awry when his ex-wife shows up. Wonderfully executed! This would be a delight to see fully staged!
