This story really captures the reality of our generation's division. Teenagers care so much about feeling normal and accepted that "being different" always puts something at stake. A phenomenal and relatable play!

So this was a wonderful and much needed play. It gets really complex in the short amount of time. It's a sort of modern take on the complexities of being LGBTQ today. It's more than just a coming out story. It's exploring the very complex gender and sexuality issues that many people face today and I think that more plays like this need to be done for the people who are in situations that are very much like what happens within this play. 10/10

This is a great ten minute that explores the complexities of stereotypes of sexuality and how it ties into a high school relationship between someone who is straight and another person who is gender non-conforming. It's an adorable and hard moment that I would love to see as a full length one day, because I want to know what the rest of their story looks like.

An interesting, fresh take on the "coming of age" story. the way the story and dialogue is written makes it really accessible and relevant for modern youth.

A very cute, very sweet high school play! The Cinderella tableau was a beautiful image, and the play as a whole tackles the complex nature of love and growing up quite well.

This was so sweet! I absolutely loved this. Shaun and Melanie's characters and chemistry worked so well together. I loved that Shaun took the time to translate his "tumblr words" to Melanie and, in turn, to the audience. Absolutely wonderful.

Perfectly written. It captures what it's like to be in high school and still trying to figure yourself out. Between womanhood and figuring out all the ins and outs of sexuality. It felt real but also very theatrical, it had a very nice balance.

Great stuff here. Now I know how to walk in heels. Love the LGBTQ representation as well and discussion of the acceptance amongst the masses. Saying some powerful stuff that has to be said.

A beautiful, compact moment in time that sensitively explores assumptions and fears around labels and identity, with an evocative setting and plenty of physicality for directors and actors to play with. 'Stiletto Envy' challenges preconceptions and offers a touching moment of understanding when laying out the many different nuances in the LGBTQIA+ rainbow.

This is a beautifully written and very funny script. Pipes has created two wonderfully complex characters in an interesting situation that I've never seen represented in a play before. I've read this script ten times and I already want to read it again.
