  • The Darker Places Trilogy
    3 Jun. 2017
Expertly crafted, terrifying, it goes deep into you to make you question your own vision of the world around you. Guyton's words are full of meaning as they move along this chronicle of a muderer's life through three short plays. "Attic" is a poetic ode to the internal battle a man must wage between its good and bad side, while "Basement" is a exhilarating horror study of a man and his demons. And it's finished by "Crawlspace" a short but vital character study that ends this trilogy. Doing horror on stage can be hard, but Guyton makes it look easy.

A clever and uncomfortable thriller about the people you trust set in a teenager's world. The absurd take on social need for technology manifests in a way that pulls you in at the end. Only wish, was that the play was longer and could have developed more.
  • Blood Sisters (15-20 min.)
    17 May. 2017
A brilliant play based on real life events. Sharp and witty dialogue moves it forward as we first grow in love with the characters, before we even see their strong convictions. A bold yet gracious homage to three woman that sacrificed their freedom for us.
  • Valentine
    9 May. 2017
A strong exploration of a man desires to be righteous and the pain he has to endured within and without to be who he is. Valentine is a bold and modern take on the rise of christianity and the flaws in humanity. Boyle's take is easy to follow and get tangled in.
  • Love All
    7 May. 2017
"Love All" is a heartbreaking examination about love and truth and how one affect the others. Driven by full fleshed characters and real life situations that are turned upside down by a revelation, Lojo manages to create a thriller about the most ordinary things in life and it is riveting.
  • The Tragedy of Sultan Khalid bin Barghash; or, The Entire Anglo-Zanzibar War in Real Time
    1 May. 2017
It's quite the feat what Barbot manages to accomplish in such a short time, but made the time of the piece itself as important as the plot. The themes explored combine with sharp modern dialogue made this piece feel not only entertaining but insightful and ultimately become what I could think will be a unique theatrical experience. Timely and quick-witted, this Tragedy is one to enjoy.
  • CYRANO ON THE MOON
    29 Apr. 2017
A hypnotic exploration of the purity of love using a renowned character and his now legendary story. Cross' injects freshness into this old tale with a painful look at what people do for love. If anything, I wish it was longer so we could really dig in on every character, but as it stands it should be a prime choice for those lovestruck audiences out there looking for strong one act.
  • Variations on a First Kiss
    27 Apr. 2017
Even this cynical writer couldn't help but be enamored by this David Ives inspired play. Great scenarios, fun dialogue, characters that are not only relatable but lovable. Weaver does a great job on paying tribute to Ives while giving it a unique voice.
  • GUN PLAY-AN AMERICAN FAIRYTALE
    27 Apr. 2017
An in your face short play about a topic that frustrates many, seen through the eyes of the past and future of this country. What could have been preachy, Robert turns into a call to action and then gives the solution. Good work.
  • VALERIE: A COSPLAY MONOLOGUE
    27 Apr. 2017
This is a poignant work that needs to be produced as soon as possible. Quick, clever, powerful, funny! Wyndham manages to touch a raw nerve exposed in society while making you feel comfortable with an uncomfortable subject. This is not easy to accomplish, to be able to carry the message without sacrificing entertainment the way he did. It's bold and it hurts, and you have such love for the character that speaks in it. Bravo.
