This play is a brilliant exploration of real life in the guise of a game with a host (like the host of hosts?) and really high stakes (our lives). The challenge - whether or not we can open ourselves to each other in spite of our traumas so that we can survive. Winning depends on our abilities to be vulnerable! McCreary has created an intense play that I find highly relatable and true.

Hilarious! Definitely a lot of sex talk! And violence! Why do we all forget the violence when there's sex? Then we're like, don't let the kids watch, there's sex, when we shouldn't let them see the violence. But it's great - all of it! (not for kids)

Beautiful poetic play that shows the wreckage of what Deepwater left behind, the human toll. The language is stunning and heart-breaking!

Such a brilliant play!!!! It is completely strange and completely recognizable simultaneously. The dialogue is fabulous! The characters are clear as day. This is my new favorite short play of all time! A must read! A must produce! Wow!

A beautiful, even at times breathtaking play that will certainly help to move us toward more empathy not only toward older people which is so necessary these days, but also toward more empathy for all kinds of romantic pairings! Such a fabulous concept and so well written!

I love the distinct languages of the characters, the structure, and especially the theatricality of MUD SEASON. I love the predicament of being transplanted, stuck, trying to find a place to breathe freely and discover you screwed up. There probably is no free breathing left in this country. I love the dead characters from the past and how they function in this play making an unexpected stunning ending that will be awesome to see onstage. MUD SEASON is a relevant, significant play about important environmental concerns, and it's also filled with flawed human characters that make it wonderfully funny!

A delightfully fun piece that provides a mythology and context for our current troubles. Saw this a week or so before lockdown and the hazmat suit at the top of the show was awfully prescient! Kotis's sensibilities toward the common people are on strong display here as Naomi and Nathanial barrel across this country mismatched and misunderstood. Hilarity ensues!

This would be so much fun to see staged! I wish it was longer! Very exciting play for many voices and bodies - quite ingenious and moving!
