A dark and twisted take on the workplace comedy that expertly reveals the mystery of what these complicated women do.

  • Shaun Leisher: Stacy & Mia

A well-written character study that plays with time and place in unique ways. Would love to see this play fully produced with all the scripted movement scenes staged.

  • Shaun Leisher: The Journalists Creed: (Actual) emails from a (brief) career in news

A really fascinating writing experiment that is also a really compelling piece of drama. Genuinely unique and surprising.

  • Shaun Leisher: M's Teeth

This is a wonderfully, bizarre play about grief and memory that hit me hard.

I love how the playwright doesn't make this play just about the mysterious things going on this town and the cause of it. This play is about the characters in this town how this mystery impacts their sense of community. I love how theatrical the play feels and how the playwrights asks that the "theatre magic" be visible at all times. This is a tense play but also hysterical and kind of heart warming.

  • Shaun Leisher: Then They Forgot About The Rest

This play is an absolute sci-fi masterpiece. It's one of those plays where the idea seems so simple but it needed Escobar's voice turn the idea into such a compelling story. I am going to be thinking about this play for a long time and kicking myself for not seeing the production at INTAR. PRODUCE THIS PLAY NOW!!!!

  • Shaun Leisher: water from the river is also in the sea

This depiction of a not so distant future where people are disappeared for how they look or causes they support is not concerned with politics or laws of the world. It's not concerned with why people are disappeared but with the psyche of those who are left behind. This play is a fever dream about being alone. It's a character study that plays with time and space to create a piece that is wholly original and highly theatrical.

  • A funny yet disturbing futuristic play. Love how the writer doesn't go into the details of what exactly happens here and keeps things focused on character.

The raw, brutal honest and vulnerability in her writing makes Jan Rosenberg such a needed voice in today's theatre. This is a monologue that can be performed by anyone because eating disorders can inhabit anyone's mind and body. This monologue will do so much to help those in recovery feel seen and let them know that they are not the only ones being haunted.
