  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Erotica for People Separated by Time and Space (a one-minute play)

A fascinating reflection on distance and intimacy, connection and disconnect.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Triptych on Divining

Lovely, lovely, lovely. These 3 1-minute pieces are each beautiful on their own, but especially thrilling as companions. I especially love Stars and Streams and the immense emotionality McClain captures in such a short time. Overall, each of these plays seems to be about potential--and the hope of finding and embracing it.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: TEN INCHES ARE TWO LIFETIMES [A 1-MINUTE PLAY]

Speculative fiction done right! This play packs a punch and, in a beautiful if not unintended analogy, haunts the audience long after its 60 seconds have played out.

Without giving anything away: this play is many things, but most of all, surprising.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: The Prettiest Eyes - 3 minute play

A short and revealing play that leaves the audience with as many questions as it does answers. Intriguing characters with quite a backstory -- I'd love to see an extended version!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: What Melvin Bought for This Week's Game Night

A funny piece that would brighten up the line-up of any 10 min play festival.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: A TOUR of The Early 21st Century Reproductive System (The Way We Used to Have Babies) & Real Live Birth Experience!

I am absolutely obsessed with this. Beautiful, funny, charming, silly, sad, haunting ...this monologue is more than just a tour of the female reproductive system, but also a tour de force for the actress playing DONNA. The emotional range the role requires is great, but to see this performed by the right skilled actress would be a phenomenal experience. Please produce this! We need these kinds of shows in our theatres.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: The Little Mermaid (for ages 5+)

The emphasis on family and the inclusion of real-world events (such as the hurricane) make this an accessible piece of theatre for young audiences. Children will come away wanting to devise their own tales (and tails?) at home.
