  • The United Plays of America - Idaho - Craters of the Moon
    23 Feb. 2023
Craters of the Moon is one of those spots on earth where you do feel that everything you ever thought about the earth goes away as you do have that feeling you've stepped into another world which can't even be possible on the blue and green marble. This is a tense-filled play which leaves you feeling uneasy from the very start and makes you rethink who you might go on hike with in the future.

Yes, it was a different time for sure. I was subject to bullying all through school and I often felt the way Edmund must have felt and every day it was always the same. Even though times have changed, the sad fact that bullying still occurs and this tale is as horrific as it is emotionally draining in thinking that sometimes, it's too late for anyone's "sorrys" or atonement and you're left to wait for your judgement and punishment as decided by the gods above.
  • ENTER TWO WITCHES
    22 Feb. 2023
Had me at the title, but also had me with the dialogue and all the fun I had reading it. And what is that third sister doing on that boat? Forget the sailor! LOL. This writer had the play of the day for me and it's always fun to dig past that and look at the other work of these writers.

Congratulations on the Smith & Kraus inclusion. There's nothing like memories and going back to what you visited as a child and seeing that the world has gotten bigger or more beautiful than it was the last time you visited. Davis's journey to bring his dad's ashes back to this place that meant to much to him reminds me that nature offers such a beautiful "forever" resting place.
  • Autumn's Fall
    22 Feb. 2023
Yes, there is such a big difference and I'm getting to that age (or have gotten to it I am sure some would consider) where the definitions do matter. I slipped on the ice last month and thankfully no one saw it because after I fell down and hit my head hard against the sidewalk, I was glad for my decision for wearing my very very puffy stocking hat and the fact that I did contemplate this very thing, did I have "a fall" or did I just fall. I did the quick check-ins and decided on the latter.
  • Musicals to My Ears
    22 Feb. 2023
How can I resist a play where the person breaks into musical lyrics and annoys all the Donalds around her and we've all known a few Donalds in our life. When the spirit hits you, you've got to sing and Janet does just that. Anyone into the musical art form will appreciate this play so much and may even want to break into a song or two as they read it, can I hear a yay to Wicked!
  • The Loneliest Number
    21 Feb. 2023
The song says, one is the loneliest number that you've ever do and in this horror play, it certainly will remain lonely once it since it's lost the game being played. Eerie and very unsettling.
  • SO GAY
    21 Feb. 2023
When I was high school I got called the f word pretty much every day and back then I don't think most of them who used it really thought I was gay or homosexual, it was just the most hurtful thing that could use to embarrass me. This play tackles that on-going issue of the importance of understanding people from the very first grade all the way to graduation and beyond. So, so many battles to fight in so many towns, but it all begins there and change can occur if we encourage it with talks like these.
  • The Moon's Blessing
    21 Feb. 2023
Wise words from the moon that are expressed in this lovely poem of a short play. It is a lesson that can be taken to heart by everyone.
  • The Greatest Jewish Summer Camp Game Ever Played

Sometimes the so-called losers win the girl and the championships even outside of their dreams. Sweet tale where the underdog come out on top.
