Fans of West Side Story and Broadway will love this imaginary behind-the-scenes look at the greats who made it, and the entire play is a fun treatise of what it means to collaborate, the pain and compromise success can exact, and what happens when you put five egos in a room together.

This one sneaks up on you in startling and traumatic ways. Theatrical, truthful, and provocative, yes, but it also gets to the heart of storytelling and what we owe audiences, ourselves, and the people we write about. Beautiful work.

A perfect study in the solo show, with a stunning final monologue well worth the price of any admission or time spent reading.

I enjoyed this play so much because my husband is a classical musician and we so often discuss the notion that classical music is "dying" in the same way theater is "dying" and the comparable difficulties in introducing new music and new theatrical works. To set this against the "dying" medium of radio is kind of genius and opens itself up to all kinds of possibilities!

A lovely coming of age story filled with humor, heart, and cold reality. I tried not to substitute Jill Stein for John Anderson as I read and the result was a thoroughly enjoyable read about managing discovery, dreams, and disappointment. Excellent writing.
  • Liquidation

In a time when we're all forced to be alone, LIQUIDATION is a fascinating read about a man who can't seem to be with other people. With a fluid structure and solid humor, Manny's journey will resonate with all of us now and in that future when we can choose our interactions with other humans. Great job!

A powerful solo performance that takes an event we've all probably experienced--a breakup--and an event that, according to Miller, one in eight women experience and shares them in a way that is utterly hers while making them utterly ours as well. Luxuriate in this language and these moments of bravery and breathtaking honesty that seem random but are exquisitely arranged to be greater than the sum of their parts and which will leave you feeling both hopeful and whole. Thank you, Susan.

Using "age is just a number" to fight ageism is all well and good--until the number becomes public. An astute exploration of this timeless hypocrisy.

"Nostalgically, he loves her." I am going to remember this stage direction forever. This play reminds me of the 'night, Mother standoff, but with further reaching political and personal ramifications. A one-act festival standout.

I really love the specificity of the lingerie store as a backdrop for this story about female empowerment. I really felt like I was getting an inside peek at this business!
