  • Rachel Bublitz: Pick Me Up

What a twisty-turny one-act! I loved the discoveries planted along the way, especially since they never felt unearned, but consistently surprised me. Lynett takes such care with both characters too, they’re so intriguing and layered, and completely sucked me into their lives. They also both had a stagnancy that I found compelling and so relatable too. How does anyone ask for what you want? The play also touches on privledge and expectations in a really interesting way. PICK ME UP left me wanting more from this little world, I cannot wait to dive into more work by this playwright!

  • Rachel Bublitz: A Driving Beat

A beautiful play about identity, finding yourself, and loss. The layers of this mother and son relationship as they drive across the county are so deep and at times heart breaking. I was also drawn in by the theatricality throughout, the empty spaces that become the locations in the play through the characters, the doubling of roles tied through the whole piece, and the lack of "things" all worked really well together. It's a play that jumped to its feet just from reading it off the page and something I'd love to see produced. Well done!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Family Planning

Powerful and brief. This ten-minute play felt like a punch out of no where and made me tear up while sitting next to strangers on an airplane. The characters are both so thoughtfully put together, and their situation (the one we're all in together) is terrifying looking at it through Minigan's lens. Really thoughtful and lovely work.

  • Rachel Bublitz: A Murder of Crows

A very sweet 10-minute play. Lawing takes so much care with his characters, and there’s a lovely amount a humor mixed with the facts of aging this couple is faced with.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Storm Clouds for Lonely Hearts

What a beautiful and engaging short! I love both the characters, the depth achieved for both in a very brief time, and the flexibility in the order of the scenes. Normally for a short play I don’t love having separate scenes, but these are completely earned and needed. Would love to see this produced, especially with the rain.

  • Rachel Bublitz: BUG STUDY

Clever and very creative. A short piece about parenting and what you can and can’t make up after the kid is all grown up. I enjoyed the humor and humanity explored in the play’s brief pages.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Missives

A lovely and haunting mythical short filled with magic and wonder. Keel does an incredible job creating a new world that feels both familiar and foreign. I was instantly drawn in by both characters, their simplicity, curiosity, and earnestness. There's wonderful tension that'll keep audiences at the edge of their seats, and a fair amount of sexiness throughout, without ever being vulgar. Really beautifully done.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Temp

A nightmare office near the boiler room with a mysterious seemingly never-ending task, that will however, leave the whole cast unemployed once it is complete. Dunn builds a detailed world in a little amount time and gives us three great characters. Slightly bloody, really dark, and tons of fun.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Little Happy Secrets

What a gorgeous and heart wrenching play. I was totally sucked in by Claire and the impossible situation she is in with her best friend. Reading the play I laughed and cried more than once. Larson uses beautiful language and a sparse style of stroy telling that kept me gripped by LITTLE HAPPY SECRETS from start to finish. Highly recommend both reading and producing this play, we need more plays like it being done across the country!

Editing to add that there are tons of great monologues for women in here!
