  • Rachel Bublitz: The Thing on the Floor

Super funny short with two great roles for women. A ton of wonderful physical comedy too. Would be great to work with in a scene class, or in a short play festival. Excited to read more from Tripaldi!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Abortion Road Trip

I love this play. It feels like you're sitting on the couch with your best friend talking about everything and nothing when you read it. The characters are so complex and compelling, I would sit through many a road trip with any of them. The theatricality of time and space in this play is so brilliant. It's funny and sad and it made me think of the women and girls I've been close to and hope that I've done okay by them when they needed me. Please please produce this play immediately, somewhere near me! Wonderful work.

  • Rachel Bublitz: A Monogamy of Swans

Minigan creates a deep world in this ten-minute play, which holds the expanse of two relationships, a failed engagement, and the ways you can really show you love someone. It's has a wonderful balance of humor and pain, and would make a great addition to any short play evening.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Hashtag Jones (short)

A powerful play right off the page, imaging it fully staged gives me goosebumps. Matthews doesn’t hold back, I’m especially drawn to the flaws she finds with both sides, those defending and those scrutinizing, and how the situation displays how black children aren’t allowed to be children. An excellent short piece of theater.

  • Rachel Bublitz: SOMEONE

Funny and sad and entirely too relatable. I have often felt the sting of being the "no one" in the family who's expected to do everything without a thanks, and that feeling is completely nailed in SOMEONE. This would make a fantastic audition monologue, it has a lot of humor, depth, and a completely clear objective. Really well done.

  • Rachel Bublitz: The Invention of Time

A great short play about time, power dynamics, love, and life. Two inmates discuss the likelihood of time existing, or if it's just another form of control. Both sides of the debate are given strong arguments, which had me questioning reality like all good philosophy plays do. THE INVENTION OF TIME also has two great characters for actors to dig into. I think it would be a great addition to an evening of shorts.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Jump

This play is gorgeous from beginning to end, it's no wonder it's being produced around the country. Simpson pulls you in immediately through her sparse and poetic dialogue, the rich relationships, and the deep character development. This is a play for sisters, for anyone who's ever lost someone, for people who walk on bridges, and for everyone who's considered what it'd be like to jump. I hope very much that it gets produced in a theater near me, I would love to see it fully staged.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Well That Just Happened

Delightfully dark holiday party play. Bohannon has a way with hilarious dialogue and situations, and both of those strengths really shine in this ten-minute. Would be a great addition to a night of holiday plays!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Our Child is the Best

Twisted and so incredibly dark but I couldn’t stop reading it or stop myself from laughing, even though when I did chuckle I felt a good amount of guilt.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Interview with a Dinosaur

An adorable short that lets it’s audience peek at an extraordinary other world. I especially enjoy the earnestness of the family, a total treat.
