  • Asher Wyndham: SO BRAVE

Deeply felt line by line, Cole's widow breaks our heart and then surprisingly nudges herself to another day giving us some hope. For anyone who has lost a loved one they will relate to this. A beautiful piece on grief.

  • Asher Wyndham: If I Could Just Open My Eyes

The playwright does a fine job sustaining a psychological state of anxiety with great intensity and terrifying description. This would make for a great audition piece, performed with eyes closed and heightened by physicality and movement.

  • Asher Wyndham: TREE HUGGER (MONOLOGUE)

This is a first for me, direct address to at tree, a living thing in nature. Inspiring for monologue writers to think about writing eco monologues set in nature, not only on stage.

  • Asher Wyndham: Gratitude 4

A great piece for theatre students to explore lighting, sound and media design collaboratively and discover how it enhances story and characterization.

  • Asher Wyndham: It Was Lydia's Fault. Kind of. (A Monologue)

Post-graduate existential crisis in the hands of this playwrights is both heartfelt and ridiculously funny.

  • Asher Wyndham: THE SAVIOR [A MONOLOGUE]

Steven G. Martin writes emotionally complex experiences that work both as engaging theater pieces but also works of literature. This is a fine example. Every monologue he writes is a little masterpiece. He's one of the best monologue writers on NPX. He does more in one monologue than most do in a dozen. I'm in awe. He shows how monologues can be epxplored beyond the tried and expected.

  • Asher Wyndham: And Try NOT To Enjoy Your Stay

Diabolical fun! If you love Escape Room or Squid Game, you'll get sick pleasure from this. Great description.

  • Asher Wyndham: Joey: A Monologue

A devastating play with a unique storytelling structure to deal with subjects of homophobia and teenage suicide. When we desire for more positive stories of Queer youth, we must remember society is still cruel and, I fear, will be far more cruel to Queer people as Christian Natioanlism takes over DC and schools. This reminds us the fight for equality and acceptance is far from over.

  • Asher Wyndham: A Really Sad Thing Told in a Kind of Funny Way so It's Okay

You really feel for this young man and worry about his future, and it helps that the playwright captures a tragic story with humor through a believable voice. Another winning monologue. Hagerman is probably the best at capturing young voices in monologue.

  • Asher Wyndham: Snooze: a monologue

Trippy, whacked out funny and beautiful. I loved all the details. I'd love to see an actor inhabit this fun character.
