  • Asher Wyndham: Marianas Trench (Part One of The Second World Trilogy)

This is a huge play, not only in pages, but in scope, emotion, and ambition.
The political scope of this play looks to our past, our history of suffering and suppression, but also to a possible Atwoodian future for a fractured America. Two countries, north and south, liberal and conservative, one for all faiths, the other Christian dominionist, are in contrast as well as the lives of two families and two boys.
Empathy, love, desires, and dreams takes on political, life-threatening significance.
A highly imaginative, structurally ambitious play that will challenge every artist involved.

  • Asher Wyndham: Jailbait

A carefully-observed, complex coming of age story for two girls that doesn't judge or moralize. Still current, this honest exploration of dating, desire and sexuality is compelling from the first scene to the last. Surprisingly funny when you least expect it.
There are plenty of plays now with teenage girls, and this one from several years ago deserves more productions.

  • Asher Wyndham: Secrets of Gardenias

I saw a staged reading of this at Arizona State University, Tempe many many years ago.
It was my first introduction to the work of Katie May. This is one of those plays where the protagonist's emotional journey isn't something you just witness, you feel it, every minute, and wonder about your own health and future.

  • Asher Wyndham: A History of Freaks

Producers, consider this play under your big top!
There's an immediacy and inclusivity that makes this circus-inspired play so entertaining.
This play explores the challenge of facing the future, the conflict between tradition and modernity, and the concept of freak.
Get your freak on with this show.
A dramaturg and costume designer would have a fun time on this show.

  • Asher Wyndham: Brightly: A Monologue

This monologue is so positive, and that's so rare in monologues and plays.
The audience will light up with smiles after this monologue.
Perfect for a LGBTQ or Pride play festival.

  • Asher Wyndham: Crush (10 min)

A twisted comedy about the fine line between love and obsession, stalking and devotion. Or maybe not - maybe it's just about a cockroach that talks.
It's disgusting - it gets under your skin - like, yuck - cockroaches - but it's weirdly beautiful.
Beautiful because of the specificity to the writing - about relationship in space, about movement, about snow cones.
I'd love to see this on stage - it'd be a fantasic show of physical comedy and movement.
Costumers - read this play - and get others to make this happen!

  • Asher Wyndham: Cooking With Sylvia

This is disgusting, sick, maybe a bit evil. Loved it!

  • Asher Wyndham: Signature Photo

This is a compelling play from the first scene to the last. The crisis of consciousness for this photojournalist raises so many questions about journalism, art, and our responses to tragedy.
Bucklin balances so many characters and perspectives, covering so much ground - numerous wars - it's astonishing.
This is difficult theatre - and that's a compliment.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in political or tragic theatre.

  • Asher Wyndham: The Bitter End

Makes you think about all those women in loveless marriages until the very end.
A complicated woman with an unusual response to her husband's death. What's the limit, when should we stop forgiving someone's transgressions?
Consider this for a solo festival or festival on death and mourning.

  • Asher Wyndham: Grindr Bots Make the Best Boyfriends

The gays in the audience will chuckle at this. A creative exploration of gay hook-up culture.
This should be a staple of LGBTQ comedy play festivals.
