Wow. Wow. WOW! Does this piece pack a punch. It really does. The characters strike a wonderful contrast between each other. It’s interesting how you can have a crisis-something tramautizing and you get three different reactions. Very strong, polished piece.

  • Dan Taube: SHE WHO HESITATES

Aside from the stage directions, it is very easy to see this as a black and white movie. Mysterious, suspenseful, moody. Lots of tension throughout. Easy to imagine Tracy and Hepburn in these roles.

  • Dan Taube: The Back of the Mona Lisa

Aspects of this piece are quite chilling. A great piece of imagination for an inanimate object, giving it full life and feeling. Very existential in its philosophy, which is always a plus. Truly awesome!

  • Dan Taube: BAD FEMINIST

A very enjoyable read that I am sure would be even more enjoyable onstage. Love the conceit of the bad feminist fee, sort of like a swear jar. The play proves that we are all only human. And none of us is a perfect anything. Highly HIGHLY recommended!

  • Dan Taube: The Audition

Such an interesting set up of a conflict. The history between these two characters are vital and rich and we (the audience) revel into it. A nice sense of will she-won't she? Damn! She did. Humorous and tense the entire time. It is a plus that the two characters are women over 50.

  • Dan Taube: Affairs

There was obviously a lot of thought put into this magnificent little play. All of the circumstances and the what ifs and the how about clearly filled in. Also, the play has a magnificent sense of humor and style. You will enjoy every second of it.

  • Dan Taube: ALLIANCE

A great story, with lots of cool character moments that actors should be able to really sink their teeth into. Exceptional dialogue and themes that everyone should be able to relate to. It only takes one person to start a movement. Excellent read. Highly recommended!

  • Dan Taube: Altared State

A very tight little script. Great characters, engaging dialogue and a fresh situation to really bring out the comedy in the piece. Excellent writing.

  • Dan Taube: 4 Words of Advice (5 minute play)

A wonderful experimental piece, filled with wry, sarcastic humor. The possibilities for staging are endless. I appreciated how every statement was pointed and you could imagine different possibilities for each character. Brilliant!

  • Dan Taube: THE MADNESS OF MEMORY (from the MAD FOR MYSTERY Collection)

What a great piece. A real killer, if you will. Lermond takes a situation that you think you know everything about and turns it on it’s head!
