    Voices is a hoot!

Very relatable characters. Both women have a strong sense of vulnerability. Also extremely dry sense of humor. As far as therapy sessions go, it feels very accurate. You never know for sure how much the therapist knows.

“Voices” is a beautiful play. You should all read it.
  • The Class of 2021

This is a beautiful play which is about several things at once. Teenage rebellion, peer pressure that can turn deadly and a necessary reconciliation between father and son. A beautifully written monologue at the end makes it crystal clear what the son is thinking and feeling. Plus, there’s pizza!! An excellent read.
  • Caligula (10 min)

A very impressive piece of writing. Suspenseful, mysterious and a little bit magical. The intimacy established between these two characters makes their circumstances dark, compelling and complex. As well, there’s quite a lot for actors to dig their teeth into with this script. A thrilling read.
  • Boots Up the Chimney (A Zoom Play)

A truly bittersweet tale about posthumous redemption. Reading this felt like eavesdropping on a very real conversation on some very complex topics. The two brothers feel very much like two parts of a whole. A beautiful play.

This is a play with a definite “Chicago” vibe. So much interesting characterization is jammed within 10 minutes. The characters are all dynamic, interesting and human. You really care about these people. A great read!

I enjoyed this play because it was many things: mystery, drama, and comedy all play a part. Both characters bring a very specific point of view to the table. Excellent read!
  • Gun Play (ten minute version)
    6 Feb. 2021
Ms. Walton writes plays we all need to see. The aptly titled “Gun Play” is a fierce complex tale ripped from today’s headlines. Walton deftly combines issues of social media, school shootings and police brutality into a gripping drama. This is a must read.
  • Chewie, Get Us Out of Here

Oh, to see Gene Roddenberry's face during a performance of this play! Not only does it kill the sacred cow, it kills about a dozen of them. Williams perfectly weaves a million sci -fi references into the ultimate easter egg play. The comedy is expertly written and executed by these well known yet surprising characters. Red shirts unite!

Great play about opposites attract. You think you know the direction the play is going to go (at least I did) and are delighted with where it ends up. The differences between the two characters is what makes their coupling all the more satisfying. Great read!
  • And the Wisdom to Know the Difference
    2 Feb. 2021
Despite it's serious subject I found this play to be utterly charming. It's depiction of a father and son relationship who don't know each other as well as they think they do. The relationship is moving, the dialogue enlightening and humorous. Loved it!
