This is an extremely engaging play with a wonderful set of circumstances, conflict and a problem that is solved in a wholly believable way. I would really enjoy seeing this on stage with two great actresses. I have nothing but praise for this simply enthralling short play.
  • BOOM - monologue about loss for any gender, any age

What a great piece! Feels very personal, even confession-like. The main character has a lot of feelings that Arianna Rose does a great job of articulating so clearly and in such a moving fashion. Great work. You will definitely enjoy.

Very engaging short play. Has the makings of a great horror movie as well. There is a sense of impending doom in the writing. All three characters are clearly drawn and sympathetic. Great read! Highly recommended.
  • Curves (a monologue)

What a great monologue. Very complete in it's story telling. Also you have to love a writer who uses the words, "Grinch Bellies". Partain has a great self-deprecating sense of humor, which she uses to great effect here. Funny, moving and highly relatable.

Not just a monologue but a complete experience all on it's own. In the age of social media, the writing is incredibly relevant as it focuses on a young girl who is comparing herself with other peoples successes. Very believable and sympathetic protagonist, who I found it very east to relate to. Great job, Cora Frank, this monologue just sings!

Poetic, sad and beautiful. Costa has come up with a great visual concept to tell her tale. In the right parts, it really hurts to listen to (or read) these words. She makes a powerful point about trauma and how it stays with us the rest of our lives. Thumbs up!
  • Icebox Placenta (a monologue for women)
    27 Jul. 2021
A great monologue. The main character neurotically grapples with her problem in a way that is entertaining, thoughtful and moving. The fact that Bell places her character in the middle of NYC helps to increase the obstacle and our enjoyment of her character. Great read!

A very moving and relatable short play. Keyes gives his all to develop a strong relationship between his characters in a very short time. There is connection, regret and love, all throughout the story. Highly recommended!!!

A very interesting game of mental chess between three highly intelligent and highly flawed teens. I loved the level of vocabulary that Gatton gives to these characters. I empathized with each one of them at some point in the script. Feels very full for a 10 minute play. Each character has their own tactics that they use, completely different from the other characters. A great piece on the nature of competition.

I really loved this play. Great characters and great circumstances. Feeny-Williams nails what it means to be a teacher and an artist. There is strong conflict as well as earned love between the two characters. Please read this play - so good!
