Lately, I've ready many plays with similar themes as "Dead Name." This, I am relieved to say, is one of the precious few that didn't feel like I was being lectured. A play about acceptance, healing, and the paranormal, "Dead Name" brings its point forward in the sweetest, most approachable way possible. Lovely, I hope that I am allowed the gift of seeing this on stage.

What a warm, fun piece with lots of charm!
A heart as big as the sun, this piece is perfect for a Children's Theatre- lots of movement, lots of involvement, easily digestible dialogue. I smile from start to finish, I hope to have the opportunity to see this produced some day.

I have tried many times to capture the joy that a child can possess. Even with the most banal things.
And that’s truly the magic of a child. It doesn’t matter if it’s a crayon, or a matchbox car.. or a prosthetic arm. It’s the same unbridled joy.
Plumridge captures that magic spark flawlessly.

I can't recall when a short piece like this had such a high stack of awkward situations. And it works. That's the kicker. It absolutely works! You come away from this brief comedy knowing that is has hit the truth. Well done!

A period family drama that both breaks your heart and leaves you filled with hope. A quiet-yet-powerful pieces that should be seen by all, the strong female characters set a bar for being fully developed on the page. One can only hope that a full realized production would convey such emotion, and I can only hope that I am able to see it.

A twist on the awkward breakup scenario, Gref brings in a new angle to it. In "It's A Wonderfull Life," the neighbor encourages George to kiss Mary, here Tom encourages just the opposite... Much to his own demise. A fun piece, and I am looking forward to more from Gref.

Similar to“Arsenic and Old Lace,” question of intent versus result are very strong here. Because the playwright intended a drama, but landed with a comedy, does that make the message less meaningful? Or, for that matter, does it comment more on the reader, who’s comedic reading of a serious play might just reveal too much about themselves?
A well paced two hander that reinforces PMW as a master of subtle and nuanced dialogue. Well done!

This fun and insightful show, with it's message of tolerance and acceptance, that should be put on by every children's theater possible, only reinforces my feeling that my four year old dog is part of a large plan to overthrow the world.

I find myself becoming by jealous of people imaginations. To take a concept as well warn as the play-within-a-play motif and spin it into something wholly new and original, with such life and energy, that I am honored to even be in its presence. This is what we have here, a one-two (and three-four-five-six...) punch of jokes that i barely had time to catch my breath - WHILE READING IT. I cannot begin to imagine the joy and fun that this would be produced. Bravo, Sir, well done!

Brilliant! Toy Story meets Rashomon when Morgan (the modern high fashion doll) is brought into the toy chest of The Porcelain Doll, The Ventriloquist's Dummy, and the Action Figure. Morgan immediately upsets the status quo until she is met with the most high fashion doll ending imaginable.
Hysterical, this script should be in every festival out there. Funny with a heart. Well done!
