  • Mike Byham: Finding Mickey Mantle

A sweet tale wrought with family drama caused by greed, FINDING MICKEY MANTLE recognizes the value of choosing family and illuminate the overwhelming power of kindness. Logan's haunting presence is powerfully felt and seen throughout via flashback and as a ghost. Marie's poignant letters will break your heart - also providing actors audition-worthy monologues. Nan's little surprises at the end are sure to bring a smile to reader and audience alike. Wendy Vogel has crafted a winning play that deserves to be staged. Bravo!

  • Mike Byham: EINAR'S RAGNAROK

Nora Louise Syran provides an entertaining education of Norse mythology in EINAR'S RAGNOROK. Whether you're somewhat familiar with the gods and their tales or have no knowledge of them, you will certainly enjoy the craftmanship of Syran's story-telling. Cleverly using a time period and setting that bridges the pagan "then" to the Christian "now" at an Althing gathering in Iceland, the presentation of the mythology is woven into the fabric of the transition itself. Very well done. I would love to see this staged.

  • Mike Byham: Make it quick

It only took Ryan Vaughan one minute to give me something to keep me up tonight. Taut and unforgiving in its premise, MAKE IT QUICK will leave you wanting more. My head is spinning with possibilities of outcomes and the necessary grisly action whence the table set by Vaughan. Extraordinary.

  • Mike Byham: There Was a Spider on the Ceiling

Ramsey Uhter wrote a really fun piece of physical comedy - THERE WAS A SPIDER ON THE CEILING. It would be a real hoot to see performed. It is certain to entertain actors and audiences alike. It’s also educational - I now know how to make chloroform. Nice work!

  • Mike Byham: Adam's Angels

ADAM'S ANGELS is a funny, delightful tale of the origin of man's companion whoo-man. Jacqui Floyd-Priskorn has innocent fun with this satirically sinful story that is certain to please anyone with a religious sense of humor. If you didn't know before how Adam got the apple - now you do. A total blessing of a short!

  • Mike Byham: A PLAN

Paul Smith gives us an interesting conversation between a couple of would-be robbers in the fun short A PLAN. In their humorous exchange, we learn a lot about how to best plan a robbery - what works, what doesn’t, what to do, what not to do - to the extent you’re sure they’ll be able to pull it off. But is that the conversation we’re hearing? Nice twist at the end will leave you smiling. Would love to see this staged.

  • Mike Byham: A PLEASURE

A PLEASURE by Paul Smith is a gem of a short. Anyone who has lost their significant other will be able to relate to the feeling of loneliness that permeates simple, everyday life. There’s a message of hope attached to this play - hope provided any who are open to chance encounters. Very well done.

  • Mike Byham: A FAVOUR

Two people unknown to each meet and connect having an interesting and sweet conversation. Warm fuzzies abound while waiting to see where the conversation leads. Paul Smith neatly sets the trap in A FAVOUR. Familiar setting with real dialogue, this play’s ending is as unconventional as it is surprising. Loved it!

  • Mike Byham: Duo

Tom Moran’s DUO gives us a very fun look at a relationship between a superhero and his much smarter sidekick. The short sometimes feels like we’re listening in on a couples counseling session with the banter between the two focusing on how each others’ needs are (or aren’t) being met. A clever concept, this humorous play is entertaining and interesting. Well done!

  • Mike Byham: Cleo's Clients

Yikes! Chris Plumridge drops the sexy humor bomb on the brothel scene! Three delightful little scenes wrapped into a hilariously enjoyable one-act package. Just leave the kids at home for this one. Loads of good-natured fun! Would love to see this on stage (or anywhere for that matter).
