  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Princess Paradigm and the Pea (In The Limelight: Short Plays for Large Casts-Adapted Classics for Children)

This would be such a great piece for young student performers to work on together. The chorus of Maids are such fun and I can picture them delivering their lines in so many different ways! A perfect way to introduce new artists to the theatrical potentials of the stage!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: To Fetch a Pail of Water

Morey Norkin writes wonderfully about communication and miscommunication. But this particular short play tackles a famous nursery rhyme that, quite frankly didn't rhyme. This is like a lost Shakespeare scene, finding the missing rhyming couplet for the act break. Hilariously on the money.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Crazy Bitch

Forensics coaches, this is a powerful piece to consider for a strong female ensemble! Poetic and musical, yet hauntingly real, this play touches on how women were expected to behave and how they were punished for stepping out of line. Worse yet, some truly needed help but were only punished more with harsh techniques. Like Jane, it is easy to mistrust the intentions of those you are forced to seek help from. But there is hope. And there is help.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Rotary Phone

This is absolutely hilarious...in a kind of scary way! I love the world building here and the magic and imagination provided by an old rotary phone is just delightful. This would be such a fun piece to produce.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Tracy Jones

This play is fast paced and full of physical comedy. But it sure does sneak up on you with the emotions! The need to connect and belong is universal. Not just limited to women with the name Tracy Jones! Each character has the opportunity to shine all over this messy party room and audiences will be grateful for the invite. At least they don't have to clean up afterwards! I love the dialogue of this piece!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Feeder (A Monologue)

Wow! This is super clever and creepy! I love to think that Edie and the birdfeeder may have come to an understanding and will be working together from now on. This is the kind of thing Stephen King WISHES he came up with. Just brilliant.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Snow White Zombie: Apocalypse

This is absolutely epic! The fight scenes, the familiar characters thrown into a familiar horror trope make this wholly original and exciting! This is the play your theatre wants to produce that will keep audiences excited throughout and talking for weeks after! Your cast and crew will likely count this as one of their favorite artistic endeavors!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Monster Girl

The idea that a boy was so scared of the world he imagined his only friends were the monsters from the movies is such a cool angle to develop a character. I have a feeling Monster Boy has a powerful story to tell beyond his childhood trauma. And I'm very excited to see he has found a kindred soul in Anna. Great monologue potential for teen actors here!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Nights from Now On (5 minute play)

This short piece is so sad and sweet. The most magical thing from our childhood, fireflies, become a form of contraband. A dying species. Something we want to keep in an unnatural jar to "protect." And when their natural environment has been destroyed by mankind, its hard to determine which "unnatural" environment would be safer. This would be a great piece to get kids talking about nature and climate change.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: a Very Short Play About Children and Guns

Yup. I mean, not just kids and guns, but gut checking your audience on what makes you clutch your pearls first. This short play should really make people think about their priorities.
